SteamVR Home Xbox One Controller

Hello, my SteamVR updated to the new home, right now the only controller that i have is from Xbox One with wireless adapter, opening the new home it invites me to press the Y but on pressing nothing happens. Only pressing the A i can hear a sound. The other button seems to doesn't work at all. What i'm supposed to do?

Try opening Big Picture mode, and look for Controller settings. You might need to assign actions to buttons.

You might need to tick the "Xbox Configuration Support" box.

Same happened to me but after a reboot or a restart or whatever it was it started working.

Nothing i do works. Now i can at least get big picture spawn working pressing guide after unistalling controller drivers. Can you share with me what's your desktop controller profile? Mine is just the xbox one controller profile. Just pressing A button i can hear a sound

hello. I accomplished getting the overlay but in game (steam home vr it doesn't work) I've got xbox one controller. Cannot press button or do nothing

This is a total joke. People had the same problem over a year ago and it hasn't been fixed yet. Works flawlesly on Big Picture but not on SteamVR.

I have this issue too! Anyone know a fix? My Xbox One controllers used to work fine in Steam VR, and they still do in Big Picture mode! If I start a gamepad VR game with the motion controller, then I can play with the gamepad, but the Xbox controller won't navigate the Steam VR dashboard only the Big Picture one.

I apologize, however SteamVR currently provides support for the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality equipment and the OSVR HDK. Other devices or input drivers may be used with SteamVR, however you will need to contact your driver developer for further support.

Years and years and it still seems to be a problem. Xbox One controller could open the dashboard but not do anything with it. Then "Xbox Configuration Support" actually stopped it from working all together.

I solved every issues related to this by never using Steam VR Home. I can't even rotate in the proper direction of my play-space with Steam VR for most games and I find Steam vr Home to be pretty useless for my needs. It is more suited for (pretty much requires) the Vive/Index/Touch controllers for a proper experience like most vr games.

I am having the same problem. My main PC works just fine with an XBox controller and the Steam VR Dashboard. My secondary PC that I just cobbled together out of extra parts. It refuses to respond to the XBox controller after opening the dashboard. It opens the dashboard just fine. After that, nothing responds other than the progress wheel from holding the button again. Which does nothing other than show the wheel. It works fine in Big Screen Mode but not in Steam VR. Anyone with a fix?
