How do I recenter view in just headset mode?

Just a VR headset + xbox controller + keyboard/mouse, no VR controllers, no VR tracking boxes.

So just headset and xbox 360 controller and keyboard/mouse.

How do I recenter the view? I remember on early VR there was a key that did this but can't remember or find out how to do view recentering on SteamVR...

windows 10 you will need to disable the xbox application that overrides steam. hold the center button, a window will pop up and click reset view. or hold the button on the headset until the menu pops up, use the xbox controller to reset view when the menu pops up.

I am assuming its not a HTC Vive then, but some other headset, something like the Rift DK1 that had no tracking
