How to win as Russians?

As someone who never played COH before Germans feel insanely overpowered. I only played like 10 games so far and lost 10 out of it. How i feel like right now is: I play as Russians, the game is about flanking the heavy machinegun spam of the germans. I have to über micro manage ♥♥♥♥♥♥ riflesquads to flank and try to grenade them. On their end its just place it and leave it like that. It feels like i have to put in insane efforts to beat something that they dont put ANY effort in. If i want to deal with them easy and get snipers or mortar then by the time those are out they are already rushing me with light armor. Oh and then comes the fun part. 15+ min crazy tankfest. Good thing i have rocketlaunchers like every sane army should. Oh wait. No i dont have any normal AT infantry instead of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless setup cannons that just get flanked. How about get some tanks too? Nah. German tanks > any other tanks.

I dont say its like this, but its definately how it feels like after 10losses. How the ♥♥♥♥ do you manage to win with Russians? Its so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unfair.

U know what i want to hear? So far the forum is full of crying about german stuff. Why dont i see a single thread about "Man i play as Germans and i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate Russians" or "I play as German and dont know what to do with a certain Russian tactic"?

yes you rart the russian is-2/isu-152/su-85/t-34-85 the are very good and avery one need to try them the is-2 for my is the beast tank in the game

Well, the German side is fairly similar to Wehrmacht in CoH. Most people know how to get mileage out of them. The soviets... not so much. For what it's worth, my impression of the soviet forces is quite favorable - as in, I can see their strength - but I still have trouble actually winning with them. :(

Many players will feel one side is overpowered or the other, but this is usually toward the end of a game and the result of one side getting a significant lead, in Starcraft these matches would have already ended.

I have won my last 6 games in a row as Russians. I usually build 2 conscript squads and a scout car early on. Get engineers in the scout car with flame thrower and use maltovs on my conscripts. The scout car with a flamer squad in it can destroy the mg and mortar teams of the germans, dont run it up next to their grenediers though or they will panzerfaust it.

Vs german armor I button the vehical with guards infantry and take it out with either AT guns or T34's. Late game german tanks i kill with AT mines to imobalize them then use tank destroyers.

We had 3 AT guns surrounding (really close range) a panther with half of it's health gone. Just sat(nice german microing/manuvering there :> ) in our base for like 1 minute doing nothing and all of these AT guns did absolutely nothing. Managed to take it really close to being destroyed, but then panther just drove off and survived. There are tons of bs moments like this where you have to go all AT to stop late game german swarm, but theres no good damage dealers compared the effort german tanks can just sit there and take the punishment. Only time I was able to make good damage to german tanks was when I managed to steal some of theirs.

Try atleast to pretend that you are afraid of losing your tanks when being fired from multiple angles and when IS2 with ATgun&SU-85 trying to destroy one panther. German tanks were good in CoH1 too, but in that game AT guns actually did damage and other than panther/tiger coudn't really take head on AT guns.

Germans don't have any units or skills unique to Command Level 1, Russians need to take that early game as hard as possible.

Tanks. And, russians are distinctly underpowered IN HISTORY in the things. It was population all the time.

I played for germans today like 8-10 times, never lost once lol. I think germanrs are OP too

Russians can only really stand a chance of winning if they can grab majority of fuel before Germans get high tech.
When you team play it's actually pretty useful for one player to go heavy guardsmen, and another tanks. Use the tanks to ram the German counterparts. Do not engage in firefight, let the infantry do the heavy work. I know it sounds weird, but it actually levels the playing field. Key is to make sure you pick apart German infantry throughout match. When this happens they are outnumbered, and outgunned.

It's easy... pick the guy with the flamethrower tanks. Then spam those, rush their base, and win.

This is 100% true, with a little teamwork Russians can send those facists running all the way back to berlin. I really dont understand these posts complaining about Russia, they kick ass in this game.
