Pause button for Mac
Can anyone please help me out how to use the "tactical pause" button (the one where you pause the game but can still issue commands) for single player on a Mac? I really don't enjoy the stress of unpausable RTS and I've pretty much tried every key combination I can think of. Thanks in advance! PS. "Use Pause Break" isn't enough, since that key combination doesn't seem to work. Please dumb it down for me ;)

I have the same problem... I have looked online for an answer and gave up after an hour! I also stopped playing the game because at one point it becomes too much to manage without being able to pause the game.

This would be nice. In Company of Heroes 1, I was able to get through the campaigns by using the f8 key (which is printed with a play/pause icon. Clever.) I was half expecting it to work similarly here, but no dice.

I have the cut down (bluetooth) keyboard. I'd prefer not to dig out my wired extended keyboard.

For that matter, I would like to see all my keys and remap them, but a pause button that still allows me to calmly and rationally plan my strategy outside of the heat of battle is my primary interest.


No, I don't play multiplayer matches. Um. Why do you ask?

This is also annoying me. I started the game and was like, "where is the pause?" I pressed all F keys and there was no pause. Then I quit the game and will not play again until there is a pause.

I found the solution. COH2 does have pause button just like windows version on mac. The key is F16 . If you own a proper bigger mac keyboard, then you can see F16 key there and use it. If you don't have F16, then you need to remap any other key. Actually, 'Pause' button on PC keyboards have key assigned to it equal to F15 and not F16. Download Keyboard Maestro and assign pause button F16 key. After that Pause would start to work.

Fn+Esc if you have a laptop or short keyboard... game runs very well on the M2 chip.

If anyone still interested, i had the same problem for my laptop and fn+esc didn't work. I had to map it to one of my mouse buttons using the virtual keyboard on my laptop

Does anyone else have the issue with being kicked out to the lock screen on the Mac whilst playing? I would love the cure for that!
