Sherman Firefly

I like how it says in the description "known as a tank that can effectively engage German heavy tanks" and then it loses to Panzer 4 every time. Test it if you don't believe me. It's 155 fuel versus Pz Iv's 125 fuel and doesn't work against infantry.
Any idea why it's so weak ? In my mind that thing should be almost as strong as a panther given the cost of it.
I won't even mention Tulip rockets, they're a big disappointment considering their price.

1. Equip Tulips
2. Wait for P4 to approach
3. Hit it with Tulips
4. Proceed to shoot other vehicles while passing the burning wreck of the P4 with a hellish laughter.

If you want to use the FF, you should not treat it like an actual tank, more like a moving 17pounder gun, keep it on distance, without Tulips it might lose to a P4 on medium or close range that's true.

If the Tulips hit the panzer is a as good as scrap ! It's especially good versus slow heavy armor.

That's the thing. The 17-pounder it has is underperforming more than any other allied tank, would you say? It's gun should be effective than tiger or panther. But it ain't.

Tulips are not bad since in reality they were not accurate. I hardly miss with them, but then again their issue is their damage. Double rear hit should finish the job. Let's say you flank KT, shoot it 1-2 times and then launch tulips. You still might end up being dead.

I'd say they should add it's fuel cost and increase penetration + damage.

... but what comes to P4, it ain't problem and doesn't need micro. Just normal management when you encounter enemy tank.

Why the hell would you even build a Firefly and use Tulips? Do you like stressful micro and having no muni?

Firefly and Churchill were great before all the Church Nerfs. The Firefly is just a heavy tank sniper like a Jackson. I mean the Jacksons gun was stronger and even the Easy 8s gun then a 17lbr. Thats why the USF didnt build 17lbrs when given the chance. Look it up :)

True about the Churchills, they are overnerfed and over expensive, no point in even getting them and axis can get a super panther with tons of armor and speed for less.

So Firefly should be played as a tank hunter ? How close is that to real life I wonder ? I know close to nothing about British WW2 vehicles tbh.

Also to the person who wrote "why would you build that when you can have a comet" exactly that is my problem...why have useless units in the game, Relic ?

I'm confused since people are saying Firefly has a worse gun than an easy 8.

Define tank hunter by the way. Couldn't they just load HE shells into the Firefly ?
