When the game came out winter maps had some special physics like snow and the frozen ice. Units going through the snow left trails, like they still do now, but back then blizzards occur.
Blizzards decreased the sight range, covered the trails and froze infantry to death.
Blizzards and frezing got removed because of player complains.
Custom games however still let you enable the blizzards and freezing by enabling cold tech in the options.
How would Cold Tech be implemented into a desert expansion?
For starters; what expansion?
Secondly; Hot Tech should not be a thing.
That's not a thing...is it?
Please tell me that Hot Tech is not a thing.
It's a mode you find in campaign and custom on winter maps.
Adds blizzards and freezing/dying soldiers.
