trucks in convoy

Asking on my friends behalf who just got the game, do you need to own a truck of your own to join a convoy? or can you use one in, say quick jobs?

The only thing Convoy requires is that you've at least got the ability to play and connect to Steam. The second you can pause, you can enter Convoy. Having a truck will make things nicer, but it's not required. You can just use quick job trucks if you'd like.
