friends convoy not showing up

I constantly have the problem that i can't see the convoy that my freind starts.
We already checked game version, we are not using any mods.
Most strange thing is that when i start a convoy my friend can see it.

Today was one of over a dozen times when i finally found his convoy, but then i had to restart the game after 1 hour and after that his convoy vanished from the list again.

Can this be a problem with port forwarding, is this just bad luck or something else?

No, my friend had no time for ETS2 since that, but i found something on the SCS website that could help.

They say that you should see the convoy of friends without problems, if not then you should set the download region in Steam settings to the same region as your friend has.

try going into the advanced options for the convoy and checkmark the Optional Mods box. even though you don't use mods I had to do this to join a friends game

He is probably not online on steam. Check it out if he's active on steam while hosting a convoy.

Try Steam > Friends > View Friends > Right click > Join Game (friend has to be hosting)

This way works 100% of the time me an my friend have found so far, but before doing it, (unlike my friend) don't close the game down and doing this, you both have to be in the game, you or your friend host then you or your friend right click an then join game an if your friend made a password then you'll be asked to enter said password
