Rammers
Hey there, people. I probably won't be the first but i will definitly not be the last i bet to talk about the subject that this topic is about but i have to get this off my chest.

So, i've been playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 Multiplayer for like 2 days now or so but after playing it for w bit now, i noticed that it really "annoys". Let me give you people an example:

So i just earned some credits and i have a total of 29,000 credits. (after i repaired the caused damage i gained along the way of the trip with my cargo) So i just repaired my truck and then, out of the blue, some other player, comes up full speed, drives through red light and crashes into me. Result? a broken damage. It was so bad that i had to repair it and after the repair cost, i had only 2.000 credits left. (from the 29.000 i had)

The game should be like that when someone crashes into you, and you are going to repair it, the repair cost will automatically be taken off from the account from the one who caused the crash. Because when my truck get damaged by my own mistake, i won't mind to pay for it, but this was'nt my fault and it... "annoys" me (to put it mildly)

So, i've decided to quit the multiplayer part until this game gets a solution to that problem
Which means, the team of that game, will have 1 member / subscriber (or however you wanna call it) less now and in my eyes, it's usually like "the more people play your game, the more they earn" well, they won't have it from me for now.

However, it would also help if people don't jump lines (so to speak) drive thru red lights and such because thats what causes these frustrations. That's what causes those "rams"

this why you save the game, often. If somebody crashes into you, go to your last savee and reload, this gives you an undamaged truck and ussualy dosn't set you back to far. Now if you want to recover your lost credits go back into game ans reset to a time prior to the crash, eg just before you finished your last load. you will get credit again. you can find this bye turning on your auto saves

Thanks. I'll take that into consideration. It does'nt change the fact tho that these so-called "rammers" should drive "normal" because they won't only damage the other players truck but 9 times out of 10, they also damage their own. And i don't think they want that either.
In other words. It's bad for both parties.

I understand your train of thought, but I'd be willing to wager almost everything I can spare that the rammers just reload their save game right after they demolish people. From the looks of it, some of these childish griefers do this ramming routine so often that they have it down pat by now of how to reload after each collision. The only way we can really stop the behavior is to ignore it, stop mentioning it on forums and letting them know how much they are angering us. Just reload each time, send them a message to let them know they caused you no inconvenience: and eventually they will seek attention elsewhere. This is more about attention and trolling people than anything else, so just stop paying them attention and letting them get under your skin.

Yeah well, altho i do respect your opinion and all, but i do not feel like i want to reload the game every single time. And yeah, they do get under my skin with it. But i'm sure that eventually it get to a point where the ramming will stop. This could be either by banning those rammers or another method. Until then, i think it's wiser to avoid the multiplayer mode and do those objectives in single player mode. Because then, i do not have to waste time on reloading a game.

You are correct that you shouldn't have to reload because others are griefing. Problems like this always creep up in any multiplayer game where team-killing or open-world PVP are possible. I suspect it will be just as difficult to get people to stop ramming each other in this game as it is to get max level characters in World of Warcraft to stop ganking low-level characters on PVP servers. Whenever there is an opportunity to victimize someone and a victim: people will do bad things. We must also remember that this is only an unofficial multiplayer mod, and one in alpha stages at that. Here's hoping in time most of the problems will be fixed. The mod's developers can't miss all of the online chatter concerning the ramming issue, so it's bound to be a top priority for them, I'd imagine.

Maintain hope, the mod is likely to get better before it gets worse. Before we know it we'll be playing a release version and not an alpha, and most of our concerns may have been addressed by then.

yes especially russian players are do that.that is very boring.i think if they are do that three times they should be ban forever from game. That is a nice game not for silly and child users!

Normally, i'm for the same principal as what they do with soccer. Yellow = Warning. (in-game this could be a kick). If they make another fault, they get red. (in-game this could be a ban).
Because when people get kicked for a specific reason (For example: Ramming), it should be sufficient enough to make them know ramming is unwanted. If they do it again, then ban them. 'coz i mean, they were allready warned and yet, they decided to do it again. So if they do it again and they get a ban because of it, they basically asked for it. They basically asked for getting banned.

I've also been playing multiplayer for a couple of days, but I haven't been rammed at all yet. But I did accidently hit someone elses truck coming the other way when I lost it on a bend yesterday :-/
sorry if that was you :(

The primary color of my Truck and when i was in Multiplayer mode is Black, it also had a double stripe in the middle. From the front of the truck to the back. Just like a Dodge Viper car has. The color of that stripe is orange. As for the make & model... It's an IVECO STRALIS

But anyway, i was standing at a traffic light that was red at the moment. Waiting for it to get to green But then, all of a sudden, a truck came full speed around the corner and rammed me. Right after i just repaired my truck.

i hit someones trailer way out in the country near Carlisle UK, went wide on a left hander (too fast). wasn't you anyway but I was called some well-earned names in chat ;)

Slayer[NL] Jun 30, 2014 @ 4:05pm
So far, i've been in alot of places but not Carlisle yet, so yeah... that was'nt me then.

But the fact of the matter is this: When you approach a red traffic light and you're speeding. Not slowing down or even stop at all at the red traffic light... You are bound for a collision.

And you know what else? I bet that most of these "rammers" are kids.
When someone is "under-aged" (so to speak), they may not see potential dangers and risks at that point. They think it's all a joke. When someone grows up and becomes an adult, they'll realize that participating in traffic, being a driver of any motorized vehicle, is no joke. They'll realize that you can get seriously injured if you don't watch out.And this is why in real you need to reach a certain age, before someone is allowed to drive things like a motorcycle, car, truck or whatever.
