ETS2 multiplayer (MP) Unfair 3 week ban (read my comment)

Just for reference, I'm the Scania truck with the UK livery (starts on the left). No other trucks were banned, thats right, the truck who was blocking wasn't banned. And the reason for the ban was "clipping a parked truck, who admittedly should have been parked in the service. Appeal rejected" I have been playing since 2014 an have over 700 hours of playtime, and i get treated like ♥♥♥♥.

Banned for 3 weeks for swerving to avoid an accident. The truck that was blocking WASN'T banned, and the truck that was parked half on/half off the road WASN'T banned. I'm the truck with the UK flag btw. I appealed and it was declined, I am banned from the forums and discord

Does anyone else think 3 weeks is a bit unfair considering I was avoiding an accident, but i accidentally clipped the truck who should have been parked at the service?

This is what happens when a single 3rd party multiplayer service solely becomes the selling point of an entire game. The moderation staff is another issue. Apparently in order to become a moderator, one has to be over 17 but in reality, most of them can't even drive legally. The rules on their website says that "The first 3 bans issued are at Game Moderator discretion." This gives them an incredible amount of power which is commonly abused. In conclusion, truckers mp is just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ where bunch of egoistic 17 year olds who have no idea what they are doing are charged to "moderating" some other kids, and get orgasms when they spot and ban a "rule breaker." Until SCS makes their own multiplayer or another 3rd party offers a better experience, the show will go on.

I was an admin on there back in ~2016 and would say that this ban is definitely trash. If this was posted as evidence then it is definitely appalling. Was this your first ban (considering that they increase their ban times the more bans you get)? If your appeals are being denied as they are reviewed by the same admin that banned you, you can submit feedback to the higher-up moderators who can hopefully review the situation without bias. https://truckersmp.com/feedback

Also, why tf was an innocent mistake banned for the same length as someone who was clearly trolling?

I take it as a good reason that ETS2 and ATS keep it to WoT. You can't 'win' regardless. You don't have a tribunal or appeal it's a kangaroo court and that's why i won't **ever** play MP. Back a long time ago, people were more pragmatic about incidents during MP and 'talked' about what was going on on the server. If it was clear cut, the vote signified it.

Regardless, as harsh as it may sound, you will most likely have to either wait out the ban or just not play. They have the final say and if they denied it twice (from two different moderators) it's unlikely their decision will change. They have no presence on Steam forums, Reddit, etc so it won't really turn any heads.

I have a feeling you maybe not have told the whole story of why you got banned?

I notice that in your complaint here in this forum you are trying to use banned words and say other abusive things about mp admins.
If you have made your complaint / appeal to mp admin in a similarly rude manner, then I can imagine that the mp admin in question has gotten a little mad at you, and has let this feeling have an impact on his judgment of the case.

But of course I can be wrong as I only know your version of the case.

This was the exact words of the admin: "You collided with player ID 2113564 and it was parked correctly. All players who violated the rules were banned.

The number of hours you have doesn't mean that you are a great driver. Also, I can't tell this from your ban history. Your explanations do not justify your actions. There is no reason to review this ban.

Appeal rejected."

The person who is arguing with me on Reddit is such a toxic person, they keep telling me to stop trolling and "♥♥♥♥ off MP", they also lied about having over 6,500 hours of playtime and insisted they have only been banned once on the 7 years they've played for, but when I asked him to link his TMP profile he blocked me.


The admin also said this: "An explanation of your ban:

You were banned for dangerous driving and intentionally ramming of another player."

Well, people who only have one side of the story often try to dig up dirt to validate their opinions. This isn't necessarily something that's only relevant to TruckersMP bans; people with VAC bans are also often just viewed as straight up cheaters no questions asked.

This person on reddit is giving me loads of abuse for asking for help and calling me stupid, but i looked at his post history and he wanted someone to plan his entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ holiday for him because he couldn't do it himself. From an outside, 3rd party view of the incident based solely on the video you have provided us with, I see you breaking several rules. I feel the ban is justified, though a little on the extreme side. Parking on the road in that manner is not against the rules. Even parking directly within a lane is allowed under the right circumstances.

In order of appearance:

• §2.5 - Reckless Driving - U-turn on a 2-lane road in a busy area.
  
• §2.2 - Ramming - Continued moving without due care, intentionally driving into both the black truck(521) and the white truck(344), then a parked(without breaking the rules) white truck(205).
  
• §2.3 - Blocking - Prevented traffic from moving by trying to be in a hurry.

I'm not saying that the ban is correct. It should not have been a 3 week ban. At worst a 2 week ban. But I do not believe the ban was made in error. Personally I would have kicked the lot of you, or kick the one who would resume traffic to normal the quickest. It seems you have skewed the results of this incident a small amount, but other people were in fact punished, though maybe not as harshly.

My opinion here doesn't matter anyway. You were banned, and denied appeal. There's nothing more you can do but wait. As a fellow many hour TMP player, but with no bans on record, I know how difficult it can be to accept a ban, even if you weren't the cause for the ban. Similar to how people who drive aggressively just because someone else is does not make you immune from the law and any damage you may cause as a result. Give the idiots some room and everyone will be happy. No need to start a confrontation just because their actions are not in your favour.

If TruckMP was a selling point for the game then more than 25% of the game's usually 25k+ population would be in multiplayer. TruckersMP only gets to about 7k players max most weekends.... and it stays at 4k to 5k during weekdays.
