Cannot Connect to ETS2 Multiplayer Mod

So I just got ets 2 Multiplayer installed and I cannot connect to any server regardless of what I do, I do not get any errors to indicate that there is a particular issue. This is what I see in the logs

Connecting to Europe 2 server...
Cannot connect to server, it may be caused by your internet connection issues
You will be automatically reconnected within next 10 seconds..

If anyone else is having this issue and knows how to fix it or what could be causing it it would be a great help as I dont know what the problem is or what could be causing this...

I've been looking up online with all the potential fixes, thus far I have

• Reinstalled the game
  
• Reinstalled the mod
  
• Allowed the mod through my firewall
  
• Waiting an hour for it to connect to a server (tried multiple times with the different servers
  
• Setting the DNS Settings to Google DNS
  
• Restarting Modem/PC (multiple times)
  
• Using a VPN to connect to the server

Have you tried the Support team of the mod?

yeah the support team mentioned the last 3 options which I tried and it didnt work

Looks like a faulty port problem.
Try using a different internet connection, from a friend, caffe, hotspot. If it still doesnt work, you can narrow it down to your pc being the problem, as in corrupted network drivers, or a really bad antivirus.

If it works, your router is the problem

Okay yeah ill look into it and see if its a router/PC problem, I didnt think about looking at the anti virus though, could be that that is causing the issue, but at the same time I wouldnt be surprised if it was a router issue
