switch driving on the left side?

you have to go to the garage and "upgrade" and change your cabin from one to the other. Not gonna be cheap,

yeah, mine happened automatically, I'm sure I didn't buy it, I never noticed because I'd spent so much time driving from 3rd person (vehicle?) view and when I popped back into fisrt person, there it was wheel on the wrong side. It makes driving back home a ♥♥♥♥♥ now though through first person.

You can avoid having to pay the extra cost of updating your truck. You just need to be aware that buying the truck in the UK automatically puts the steering wheel on the right side of the truck, versus buying the truck on Mainland Europe, which automatically puts the steering wheel on the left side of the truck.

Actually, the cost of conversion from what I see is free.

Being an ex driver it never bothered me what side the wheel was on.

And I did realise quite quickly in game that buying a truck from UK dealers was giving me the UK setup. And EU dealers were giving me the left hand drive.

I actually prefer a right hand drive if forced to make a choice.
But with most of the actual game roads being ride side drivng, it's not the best choice maybe.

well that is good to know, I figured it would be like any other upgrade and you would have to sell one and buy the other

and as for getting left or right drive, you don't have to do that at UK dealers. You can left or right drive at any dealer in the game.

Oh yeah I figured that out too once I had money to customise my trucks.
Just at first I attempted to buy my first truck from an EU dealer and noticed default was left hand drive. Whereas a UK dealer was right hand.

i have a different problem i had got a starting city in the uk and even if i buy my first truck from the eu basically when i go into the truck browser it always is set to right hand driving how do i fix it so by default when i go into it its left hand

IME (and my home city is in the UK too) you get a right hand drive truck as the default from a UK dealer and a left hand drive truck from any other dealer. If buying online then just choose a dealer on the continent to get LH drive as the default or a dealer in the UK for RH drive.
