Black Screen and 1.3.1 Update

Hi There,

First, i have black screen problem after few minutes i play the game. Screen turns to black with an annoying sound then i should reboot the computer.

I have switched DirectX/openGL, enable/disable AA, increase/decrease video quality, changed refresh rate Default/60mhz (which is mine) but NO CHANGES, still turns out a black screen.

Secondly, i dont know the version of the game with Steam. I have installed today but is it the latest 1.3.1 or what.

BTW, I have downloaded 1.3.1 patch from Torrent (referring to official game page) and installed. Then Steam asks me for registration key. Checked Steam Client for the key but there is none.

Finally, i have still ETS2 with fresh Steam Installation for now, no mods added.

i am looking for some help about two situations.

do you buy the game from steam or did you torrent it?

Try verifying the game cache. And FYI, you don't need to download any patches with Steam. Steam does them automatically, assuming you haven't turned the auto-updates off. (you can check the game .exe's properties to check the version.)

auto-updates are already on, btw i checked game.exe to verify.... And it is 1.3.1 already, thank you a lot :)

what about the game crash (black screen) ?

openGL reduces fps and crashes rarely, on the other hand no way to run with DirectX.

Any idea?
