As a sim racer where those games actually have FFB I just use 100% Overall which is all you should ever use with games with FFB. Everything else at zero as those are all "canned effects"
This game I use
100% overall
50% Spring
50% Damper
50% Centering Spring
This at least gives the wheel some weight and "pretend" FFB
0% Spring
0% Damper
(On) Enable centering spring in force feedback games
100% Centering spring
900% Degrees of rotation
Erm when i put like higher than my settings the wheel is like impossible to turn, also with my settings when i take a turn Damper effect is really there..but will try with the settings here (for me when i adjust the FFB in-game it change it but not alot)
Thanks!
1:1 is ~780%
At the moment I'm trying these:
Profiler:
FFB - 100%
Spring - 100%
Damper - 100%
Centering (On) - 150%
Wheel (On) - 781° (since 780° is not set-able via profiler)
Game may change settings (On)
In-game:
FFB - 75%
Damper - 50%
Centering - 80%
The other three - around 20%
Problem is, that the wheel turns too easy when driving slow / not at all and too hard when driving "fast" (faster than 50 km/h).
PROFILER:
Overall: 100% (no more and no less than game FFB)
Spring: 100% (as above)
Damper: 100% (as above)
Centering OFF, 0% (if you turn this setting on, wheel will always tend to center itself at any conditions, which is unrealistic. For example, when your vehicle stands still, wheel must not turn at all. So I prefer to use in-game centering instead, which is applied correctly)
Allow game to adjust settings.
For ETS 2 I use 780° wheel rotation (To set exactly this, use keyboard left and right arrows)
Sensitivities:
25% Accelerator
20% Brake
35% Clutch
IN-GAME
50% Gain
50% Stiffness
100% Centering
25% Engine, Terrain and Collisions
75% Brake intensity
All these values can also be set via config.cfg and controls.sii files, pay attention to them.
After last update, I seek the most realistic game settings too, that's why I'm here. Try my setup, maybe it will help.
780 really? what a waste of the 900 degree support...also never had an issue with centering...
my settings is a smooth centering
also i use g_pedal_clutch_range 0.5 for a more realistic clutch
@DNLoader: Your settings fit my needs. Thanks again! With some fine tuning I should get what I want somewhen. But it's a good start. :)
Next I'll have a look at the ETS2 setting files.
So, have a good and safe ride everyone. ;)
what are you talking about...? the game support FULL 900 Degree turn ratio..if i turn to 900 degree with my G27 its the max not 780 in-game :/
Yes, game does support full 900° rotation, and even 1080° if you have Thrustmaster T500RS. But if you set more than 780°, turning will be non-linear. Notice that real position of the wheel does not match with that depicted on screen. 780° is 1:1 ratio, 900° is 1:1,15. It is hard to explain, you better check it out yourself. Experiment with different values and compare real wheel position with in-game position.
@Schattenwolf
I'm glad it was helpful. And I too continuously try to fine-tune these settings.
