Wierd Light poor fps Problem?

Every time I switch on the lights, it makes the game run poorly. I mean, I can play it, but it is just really annoying sometimes. Any way to solve this? Thanks

Lighting in ETS2 has always been a source of performance problems (along with cities). Not much you can do until they address general performance issues with patch(es), other than upgrade your graphics card.

Personally the #1 tweak to the game that I feel helps, is turning down light display to medium or low (its a slider).

Have you made that suggestion on the official SCS ETS2 site? I doubt that they monitor this forum for ideas.

Oh they're out here now and again to read topics. I think after all that's been posted about the game (here and elsewhere) they know it has performance issues related to lights/shadows and cities. It is a commonality almost everyone has with the game.

Plus, not trying to add more to a dev's plate right now, just trying to help a fellow gamer. :)
