Just create a folder with shortcuts to songs inside it. Then shortcut to that folder and place it in the game's folder for music. Works perfectly. It doesn't care if it sees actual folders/files or shortcuts - both work.
I found folder called "European Truck Simulator" in my documents folder, so that's where I put the music. Where that folder came from, I do not know, I don't recall installing the original ETS. Regardless, I found another folder "European Truck Simulator 2" in the Documents folder with a \music folder. I put MP3s there, and they appear magically. LOL.
However, I must place actual MP3 files there. I cannot simply put a shortcut link, as has been mentioned above.
However, I don't use the feature any more because it seems that if you have music enabled in the options, it plays the default built-in music unless you go in and start your own each time, or when you reach the end of a folder, After a while I'd had enough of hearing that track again and again, so I turned it all off.
I wish there were a way to have silence when you're not playing your own music.
There is. Go to Options->Audio. Uncheck the Music checkbox and/or set the Music slider to the left.
Why do u say something untrue if u dont test it? I did test it before this thread even came to life and sadly, SCS doesnt have a feature to alter volume separately for In-game Music and your music files/radio stations in-game !
Wow! Angry much? Take a breath. Relax. Better now? Good.
I assumed that he did not want to hear the default music when he wasn't palying his own music.
Repeat after me O-o-o-o-m-m-m-m-m-m...
The "Music" option really shouldn't affect the radio - after all, if you don't want to use the radio you can just leave it alone.
