How can i turn off the retarder?

go into your option, and in the playing style or something like that, the option are in there, just uncheck the box, but if you have not making it active, i don't thing they are active...

Uncheck the option to use the retarder automatically, and make sure you decrease it till you turn it off.

By default, semicolon (;) turns retarder on, single quote (') turns retarder off.

You can reassign the keyboard keys in Options->Keyboard.

More specifically: semicolon increases retarder effect, single quote decreases retarder effect. To turn it off via hotkeys, it can take multiple simultaneous presses of ' to accomplish.
