You know, if they ever make it so that you can see speed limits via the GPS this might actually be a cool idea. Kind of a hardcore/roguelike mode where too many tickets/crashes results in you losing everything.
I suffer roadrage badly and run them off the road. Why, no idea, lol, they're immune to my emotions.....
If they do that I'm getting banned from Great Britain and probably nearly every place else that's not Germany.
What an awful and just plain unfun idea.
Is there a list of console commands available?
It's actually really satisfying cutting a truck off (especially one that you've been stuck behind for ages) when there's another vehicle behind it. If you cut it close enough, you'll cause the truck to brake so quickly that the vehicle following it will slam into the back of the trailer.
If you are having problems not having console pop up as expected on Win 7, (due to 'tilde' keypress not working) it is because most likely your PC has Windows Media Center installed
and OR a MS infrared keyboard.
You can google the fix but short version is go into Device manager and remove anything
related to MS Infrared Keyboard.
It is installed if you have Media Center even though you dont have their keyboard.
Now your tilde key should work. Actually it is not tilde by the way, but grave' key. Tilde is the shifted function. Just saying.
In console if you set warp 0.8 then the in game perceived speed of movement.
This setting does not stick and has to be re-applied each game session.
Resets to 1.0 otherwise.
will be much closer to reality than the default, which is warp 1.0
At Warp 1.0 the default, the game perceived (from inside the cab) rate of travel is perhaps 25 percent faster than in real life.
I think it was a design decision. I prefer warp .8
I used a stopwatch to time teh white stripes in game and compared to real life stripes. It matches
at .8
speed limit was added to GPS in 1.11 beta, I played it for a short time. I'm back on 1.10 for now though cause of more mods being compatible with it.
I played some ETS2 yesterday after not having played the game in 5 months or so. My Steam account is set to public beta so the game was updated to 1.11. The speed limit in the GPS was a nice addition though I still managed to rack up a few speeding tickets. The one downside is that I can't use ProMods or Hungary maps at the moment. I know I could roll back but I think 1.11 will be released soon and ProMods should be updated shortly thereafter. Probably a longer wait on Hungary.
