Get the speed you want
Press C
Then take your foot off the pedal.
It is important that you do not move the pedal after you have pressed C, that will remove it again. I guess it is this you do. If you don't, perhaps it is something with your controlconfiguration.
I've never seen that. Where when I'd hit the gas while CC on, it would go any faster than CC. Sounds like something off with your game. Using mods?
Yes got mods, just graphic, skins but nothing to do with using moder made trucks i just drive the in-game trucks. I have the CC settings to automaticaly brake when going downhill -the max CC speed is set at i think 1mph over in game settings. Ohter than that it will brake auto going downhill and maintain cruise speed on the flat but (the AI CC) just doesn't press the throttle going up hills/slip roads to try and keep the speed set hard enough, it will climb but depending on the slope/hill it will loose power. It will if it can keep going crawl over the 'top' and build speed back up. But you've got to hit a big enough hill to witness complete CC bail out!
