Cruisecontrol
Hi!

Am I the only one experiencing problems with the cruisecontrol? Once I press C, it can hold speed for 2 sec and then it drops? I have to always have the foot on the pedals.. Any suggestions?

It works nice, just like it would in a real car.

Get the speed you want
Press C
Then take your foot off the pedal.

It is important that you do not move the pedal after you have pressed C, that will remove it again. I guess it is this you do. If you don't, perhaps it is something with your controlconfiguration.

Also, pressing on the breaks will cancel the cruise control too ^^

The cruise control will disable itself whenever it detects press on brake, clutch (h-shifter gearbox) or if the acclerator pedal is still pressed after initial 2s grace period since activation of the cruise control.

You might need to increase the deadzone on the accelerator just a little bit higher, with no deadzone the game might be seeing an input change from it even when fully released. Same with the brake and clutch.

Change your josystick dead zone configuration, a little bit to the right should be enough.

The only other time my cruise shuts off is when I access the in game radio. Then it shuts off and my truck goes into neutral.

One thing i would want sorted in the cruise control feature is anythime you hit a hill with CC on it will gradualy loose speed until it either stops or crawls, as soon as you press the throttle to the floor and over ride the CC -even on the steep hill incline , it will pick up speed again. Adaptive speed control is what the game needs. It will not hold the throttle on a hill *period*, only been playing 6 years with it..... In a real car it will hold the speed you set, regardless of road incline/decline. I would love it sorted in ETS2. Yes an old topic but still this issue. Even with a fully maxed out truck in engine, gearing and axle drive load..

I've never seen that. Where when I'd hit the gas while CC on, it would go any faster than CC. Sounds like something off with your game. Using mods?

Yes got mods, just graphic, skins but nothing to do with using moder made trucks i just drive the in-game trucks. I have the CC settings to automaticaly brake when going downhill -the max CC speed is set at i think 1mph over in game settings. Ohter than that it will brake auto going downhill and maintain cruise speed on the flat but (the AI CC) just doesn't press the throttle going up hills/slip roads to try and keep the speed set hard enough, it will climb but depending on the slope/hill it will loose power. It will if it can keep going crawl over the 'top' and build speed back up. But you've got to hit a big enough hill to witness complete CC bail out!
