Not possible yet. Maybe soon
Couldn't you just Mod one in?

Location is:\material\ui\player_logo

Files are: logo_0.dds .. logo_7.dds
i don't find this folfer material\ui\player_logo
The folder is inside the base.scs file. If you wanted to see it you would need to extract the base.scs file.

The logo is 128x128 32 bit with alpha. It looks like it is an uncompressed 32 bit DDS file or maybe one of the other formats like 555. On a closer look it seems to be a 24 bit DDS (sometimes called r8b8g8) with (8 bit?) alpha.

The icon itself appears to be 95x95 located in the upper left corner of the full bitmap with the alpha filling the rest of the bitmap.

If you don't know how to Mod ETS2 then you will have a lot of learning to do.

The simple answer is: Create a new logo saved in the right format, put it in a properly named folder, zip that folder and put the Mod in the "mod" folder for the game. I think you would only need to replace one of the DDS files, there is also a .mat and .tobj file for each logo but those could be left as they are.

Maybe we'll get lucky and someone will try replacing a logo and they'll tell us whether it works.

Hi,

I've done my logo but i can't open the base.scs file with notepad++ because the file is too big for this editor. what can i do ?
go to the euro truck website and download the extractor, this will let you un-pack any game file and edit it and pack it again as a mod, job done, ive done it.
i ve downloaded this extractor but when i run this exe nothing is running. i have a windows 8 on exploitation system
You will need 3.38 Gb of free disk space to extract with this method.

Make a temporary folder.
Copy the base.scs there.
Copy the extractor exe to the temp folder.
Drag the base.scs onto the extractor and drop it.
You'll get a message "Open with", do that.
A command window will open - LET IT FINISH! It can take quite a few minutes.
You should now have the base.scs contents extracted into your temp folder.
You can delete the copy of the base.scs file. First make sure the original base.scs in still in the ETS2 game folder (don't delete that one by mistake).

Some notes:
The actual logo is 92x92 in a 95x95 box, it has a 3 pixel offset for the borders.

Why do you have to have a 128x128 bitmap for the full DDS file?
Because the old standard for DDS requires a square bitmap that is sized in powers of 2 (that is no longer true but ETS2 may use the old standard).

When you zip the DDS use the "store" compression method, means no compression.

The DDS file MUST be named the same name as the logo you are replacing. So if you intend to replace logo_0.dds name your file with that name.

Name your zip something like modded_logo_0.zip then, once zipped, rename it modded_logo_0.scs and put that in the "mod" folder in your user folder C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2.

ok thank you, but if i want to create a new one and not to replace one, how can i do ?
I use a software which is logomaker. This software can save in a format .gbl or can expot the logo as format below ; JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIF GIF PDF. in what format must i do the export ?

You do create a new one, whatever kind of logo you like. Then you will replace one of the standard in-game logos with your new logo. That's why you use the name of an existing standard logo. Replacing an existing logo is easier than adding a new logo, it may be impossible to actually add additional logos.

The logo to put in the game MUST be a DDS format. Any program can be used to create the logo, if that program cannot save in DDS format then save it as a 32 bit bitmap or TIF.

You can use a utility program, DXTBmp, to convert it to DDS. Or you can use the program Paint.net to load your bitmap and then save it in DDS format. Remember that the DDS needs to be RGB (or A8R8G8B8) 32 bit format and DO NOT use mipmaps. The alpha channel is required so that the icon is cropped properly into its box in the UI.

Paint.net is free:
http://www.getpaint.net/

DXTBmp is free, this is the author's site:
http://www.mwgfx.co.uk/programs/dxtbmp.htm

Paint.net may be easier to use, DXTBmp can be a little complicated looking to non tech type people.

This does work, even for already created profiles. I've just swapped a "Rabbid" for my icon, I'm thinking of changing the name of my company to "Rabbid Transit" or "Rabbid Transport".

it doesn't run. the game crashes when starting. What have i done :
Extract base.scs with extractor (from the ets2 site) in a folder called temp.
Have done a logo with paintnet and saved it as logo_7 in a DDS format.
Have all folders selected for archive in base.zip format normal .Then renamed this base.zip to base.scs. Then put the file base.scs in folder "mod" of ets2.

What i dont understand is : the DDS need to be RGB (or A8R8G8B8) 32 bit format ane do not use mipmaps ?? how can i do that ?

Thank you in advance

No, no, no, no...

You do not zip the entire base.scs contents. You zip ONLY the part you have changed or added. For your change you did not even need to extract the base.scs, you already have all the information you need.

This should be the contents of your zip: a folder (with subfolders) containing a single file.
material |-- ui |-- player_logo |-- logo_7.dds
contents = 1 File = 65,664 bytes
This is what is in the zip-> \material\ui\player_logo\logo_7.dds

When you save a DDS you should always have an option dialog that will allow you to set compression levels and mipmap options. Just select "no mipmaps".

You should always be able to select the DDS format when you save a file, often this will appear in an options dialog so look for an options button when saving. If your editor will not allow you to save in a particular required format then you'll have to find another way to save the file.

One way is to get Paint.net, load your file after saving it in your editor (preferably in TIF format), save it in Paint.net as DDS. Select the A8R8G8B8 format and uncheck "Generate mipmaps".
yeah, i've got it, my new logo appears in the place of the original 7th logo. My question now is the following : How can i change the logo of enterprise of my actually profile actually running ?
i suppose the file to change is the profile.sii but how to edit it ?
