Played Demo; bought; now cant enter a CD Key?
So I downloaded the demo on the Official Euro Truck 2's website. So very very first time installing it, it asked if I had a CD Key or if I wanted to run in Demo Mode. I of course chose Demo mode. After my first 2hr playthrough I was 90% sold on buying it. Just before I ran another play thru I decided to buy it but I'd do it just before i go to bed so that way it can download while i'm sleeping. So I un installed the (Demo). I received my email about "thank you for purchase" and now I'm about to play it "FULL version" but its not asking my CD Key and when I launched it, it brought up my old Save Game. Now I even deleted it (Users>MyDocuments>EuroTruck) but after launching it stil...its still not asking for my CD Key.

I really do not want to start this game if I'm not 100% fully active (ya know?)

So before I go emailing EuroTruck and Steam. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

hmm ok; found a thread that says. after buying the game the cd key will be emailed to me? So apparently no one will ever start the game at 100%?

Because the Demo version and Full version are all the same. Only thing that changes is the insertion of the key emailed ;) Only if you buy directly here from Steam

Confused by the last part "only if I buy directly from steam" Are you saying that buying thru Steam its an automatic 100% full game; whereas if I bought it thru the official site that I would have to wait for an email?

As I've played several hrs of the demo I noticed there was some places I couldnt access. I thought it was because of Demo; but maybe some parts cant be accessed cause of my Level/Prestige of the game?

Yes. If you bought the game here on Steam, you don't need to worry about a CD Key. Steam handles that for you.

As for the access to certain areas, that may have been because of the demo, but it could have also been just how the game is. The game doesn't model all of Europe, or an extensive road network, so there are many roads that are only partially modelled and inaccessible. These will be blocked off by transparent white arrows in cities, and big yellow chevrons on some on/off ramps.

Yes I did buy it off of Steam. No CD Key because of Steam? Awesome. Okay well I'll go back to gaming (wll read this later) and start fresh (which was my intention) but in the meantime...as my other question said:

There was some areas that were unaccessible (Demo was from Official Site) was it because of Demo or did I need to obtain a higher rank within the game? Thanks Again!! : )
Check if the line uset g_sns in your config.cfg is empty. That is where the 66 character long hash generated CD key is stored.

I bought ETS2 direct from the Origin store and did have to enter a key. I can get my key from the Origin application just as you should be able to in Steam. There is an entry in my config.cfg file and it is indeed hashed, it is not just an ASCII copy of the key.
