Buying new vs upgrading
If I were to keep the same low end truck and keep upgrading, would it eventually be the exact same as if I purchased a high end truck?

The only options you should worry about should be engine and chassis. Lights will help you see better of coarse. Other then that, I'd recommend saving your money on more trucks and garages. The rest is just cosmetics.. Although I am unsure if tires help with handling or not.

You would end up with an identical truck, but it would cost you more as you lose money when you trade in the original parts. Buying the upgrades individually also highlights how retarded most of them are (30k for a pink trim steering wheel? Seriously?) making it much less likely you would actually buy anything other than engine and chassis upgrades.

Ah ok. Thanks for those answers. It's probably best to wait until I can purchase the truck I want, and just pass my current truck off on a new employee eventually.

true for both above get a good but cheep truck to start with high bhp power is good but later trucks all have common frame mods however powerful motors never come up in some of them "cough Renault premium 480 bhp max" but me i like a show off truck dosn't help me much but if i gota look at the thing for hours it better be nice

If you're buying a volvo you're set for engine power, but for anything else you will want to grab an engine upgrade to 480 at least, it'll save you money in the long run (avoiding fines and accidents that would otherwise be caused by impatience) and it's just a way nicer experience in general.

By the time you're a high enough level to unlock the top stuff you won't care about money at all, so don't worry about saving up. Just get whatever you want as it becomes available.

I had traded in my old truck for a Volvo a while back since it seems to be the best beginner truck as it's low end starts with a lot of power. Fines etc are fairly minimum, so I'm just saving up. By the time I have the money for another garage and a truck or two for my employees I should be high enough level to purchase a good truck and hand this one down.

Upgrading the truck is exactly the same as buying the high end model. If you look into the dealership, you will find you can customize any truck there to your likings, just as in the tuning garage. So if you want a Scania with nice configuration, you can just go buy the low end one and then upgrade it as you gain experience and money.

Every brand in the game, excluding Renault, only has one model, so it's the exact same thing. You can buy a low-end truck and fully configure it to be a high-end truck.

u do know that getting exp is easy... Just do a quick job, run around a circuit of a roadway racking up miles/Kilometers, then before the deadline/fall asleep as some timeframes till expected delivered are usually 15~hrs, and tada... easy lvl up.

noteably was able to get to lvl 6 on the demo, just right at the threshold of time up... did this approach without going to the main menu/overview screen. Oddly enough it was wednesday week 1 at 08:00 that got lvl 4 3200exp and ran it for another 8hrs racking up a total of 4k~ kilometers.

Ofcource this is demo so meh, was not ever possible to get lvl 10.

So idk where the decision is to ever use a lower tier truck if can get easy exp from quick jobs with NO infractions/costs as its all covered(minus channel-ferries) Not to mention that IMO the AI workers are based on YOUR average driver rating, so even this makes it much more viable rather then getting ANY loans to get a garage until i suppose lvl 20. At which time, they should be biting at the bit to have ratings 4.0~+ on the recruitment agency.

That being said, what is the end game events to make this worth getting rather then just toying around with the demo? If its just to make the rigs pretty, i do not see the enjoyment... nor the value of entertainment.

So you're saying you get more xp by taking more time doing missions?

Yes, as for time is irelevant only funds made for projected distance... everything afterwards is based on extra distance, So with a route that should only take u 245 Km and to get the extra bonus of extra xp with the first tier of long distance ability of 250, u just need to drive around an extra 5 Km... noticed this with the very first delivery, so just overly extended the distance with above mentioned method.
Edit: new patch makes this tactic void
