Therefore 100kph = 60mph, which you'll likely never reach unless driving downhill with the clutch open.
I set my speedo to mph personally and just roughly guestimate the relative kph based on a couple of figures I already know.
Because us Brits are well awkward ;)
This is the only easy way to do it. No idea why there's no hotkey for this. Kind of annoying to have to go into the options menu every time you take the ferry/chunnel.
Simple list.
60 mph = 100kmh
50mph = 80kmh
30mph = 50kmh
But if you want to do the conversions then for a simple math conversion think of it as 1,5 rather than 1,66kmh. 1,5 = 150% so you simply need to add half of the value in mph ontop of the mph again to find kmh.
E.g. 60mph in kmh = 60 + 30 (half of 60) = 90 kmh. And since it's 1.66 and not a flat 1,5 you can round it up to 100kmh.
Another example... 30mhp = 30 + 15 (half of 30) = 45kmh, and round it up since it's 1,66 and not flat 1,5 = 50kmh.
Conversion works other way around as well, except you have to subtract and then round up.
E.g. 100kmh = 100 - 50 (half of 100) = 50mph, rounded up to 60mph.
E.g. 50kmh = 50 - 25 (half of 50) = 25kmh, rounded up to 30mph.
40 - 24
50 - 31
60 - 37
70 - 43
80 - 50
90 - 55
100 - 62
110 - 68
120 - 74
130 - 80 which I would not recommend doing unless the road is very straight
If you spend a few minutes saying them aloud or write them down a couple of time it should stick with you well enough for you to automatically do the conversion without having to think. I know I don't have to think about it anymore, I just see the kmh and know what I can run at with my mph setting
