in the Europe lenght of the trailer restricted to particular length (25.25m). Naturally, the prioriority isn't long nose of the truck, but the maximum about of load in the trailer. In other words, manufacturers aren't making long-nosed trucks for beign ineffective to fit such regulations.

thanks for the facts.

what about Volvo? they sell a long nose cab in the states, is the same model avalabe in Europe, or does it not fit the regulations?

What's with americans and the need to take as much space as possible and unhealthy obsession to have the biggest and most resource wasting vehicles available. :P

Here ya go, one peterbilt 379 with big nose. http://ets2.lt/en/peterbilt-379-v1-1/ .
Just drop into your mods folder in the documents/eurotrucksim2/mod folder.
Site linked above is a good site with no pop ups or in your face advertising, you can get some great mods to really make this game even better.

OP, if you really miss peterbilt in the game and want to break the european traffic rules ;) several versions have been created as free mods. Just check this site out http://ets2.lt/en/category/trucks/ - the best mod resourse i could found so far for ETS2.

Also the roads are different in europe than in America :) More twisty and turny.

Didn't realize the regulations were like that, though I figured it had to be an issue with fitting on the roads. And we North Americans do like everything bigger don't we. It comes from having so much free space that we needed to expand to fill our environment (like how gold fish can grow to be a foot long if they grow up in a large enough space, like a pond).

While I think the 'normal' trucks look nicer in general, the flat fronts would seem to have some advantages in the game in terms of their ability to get through tighter places.

Also the roads in europe are a lot better @ skiv. The whole infrastructure of europe is 10th times better. ANd not saying that because i want to feel better but ive been to the east coast of america. And man their infrastructure shocked me with how bad it was! It also made me realize that we in europe have a very good one and should be very happy with it. Driving on highways in big parts of america just isn't relaxing. The ride is 2 rough because of the bad and cheap infrastructure.

To stay on topic, there is not really a reason for a long nose truck to exist. Its ineffective. But i guess in america everything has to be larger ;). (its the only things they seem intrested to, the biggest, the heaviest, the highest etc etc)

They like their trucks just as flat as their women.
Brandtner 18 ENE 2013 a las 10:44
Yeah ... following that logic, US guys just like their woman to be heavier it seems ^^
