Names of cargo companies
I wonder, are names of cargo companies (EuroGoodies, TREE-ET, etc.) from real European companies or they were thought out by SCS Software?

the standard ingame names for companies are fictional but you can ad real company trucks via mods and have real brands shown then.

Yes. I would love to see real company branding in games. I would like to see some of my local truck businesses pass me as I drive. That would be cool. And a few Coca Cola trucks during Xmas would be fun.....

As I understood right, should game developer pay brand company to be able to include it to his game? So why not the other way? Branding in popular games is good advertisement for brand owner, so let brand owner pay game developer for advertisement and for honor to be included to popular game.

I`m pretty sure the brand owners pay the developers. Same as TV.

So why SCS Software couldn't license Iveco and Volvo for a long time and still can't license Mercedes? Maybe they can't get permissions for it or brand owner wants to make the game developer pay for it?

I don`t think that would be it. It is most likely to be a case of `how many people would buy the game and see our brand`. They most likely think that its not worth the money to advertise in the game because their brand won`t get a lot of coverage. And it is a `niche` game.

With the next `trucker` game, maybe there will be more branding because this type of game is getting more and more popular. Especially thanks to Steam......

There's one that looks suspiciously like the DHL logo, so I'm wondering if they're all based off real-life companies (akin to the trucks w/ Majestic = Mercedes etc.)
