What is the best truck in this game?
What is the best truck in term of performances? What level do we need to unlock it, and what is the price tag?

Engine performance Volvo and Scania.

I like the DAF for handling and the Scania. Bought a volvo to many blind spots so i gave it to a rookie driver and took the DAF back.

I would say Scania is the best all-round truck in the game. It has good power and handling. If you are just starting out I would recommend a volvo just because it has a great initial power to price ratio. But I would switch that out as soon as I can afford a second truck.

Agreed. Volvo to start and Scania when you get up some levels and have some more cash.

What do you mean "blind spots", could you give me some examples? In fact, I have not seen that kind of problem.
Personaly I like Volvo and Scania. DAF have least fuel consumption, but it does not have torgue for heavy loads

So far i have only gone to my first truck and it is a MAN. Loving the power on it. Good power to price ratio.

I like the volvo FH16 R +700hp 6x2x2 and 6x4 but the normal foot break is bad , always have to help with the retarder and downshifting . I tried the scania V8 on 6x4 (top hp) but on hills with 22ton loads the v8 HP /torque aren't enought (and lower top speed with no spd limit mod ; ) .
I finaly give it to my best employee and bought another FH16 +700hp R 6x4 for me (don't forget to add the mettalic front bumper on the volvo , it has a low ground clearance and hits curbs / ramps/ entry gates if you go to fast .

I noticed that some trucks have a more difficult handling, to the point that I had to change the sensitivity of the wheel for my xbox360 controller. Is it normal? I wish there was a database containing information on all trucks available ingame.

Volvo starts with an amazing 600hp Hillclimber Truck, just perfect for the beginning and ended up with the most powerfull Truck ingame with 750hp.

Scania starts with 360hp and ended up with also amazing 730hp.

All others are way lower at max HP.

So Volvo is allways a good choice but at the other hand, u dont have such great feelings with levelup because the different between 600hp and 750hp isnt that much.

That means for me. Scania ist a good choice to start with. 360hp at the beginning and than up to 730hp makes it worth to levelup and feels more realistic.

If u dont love Volvo and Scania, maybe MAN with max 680hp would be the 3rd to mention.

I tried the Scania 730hp 6x4 ( the costum paint job it's great ) but when I was on secondary routes pulling 22Ton trailler , I felt it's not enought . I go back to the volvo FH16 6X4 750HP , now I can climb a steep hill without losing velocity .

I felt that the DAF has the best handling overall but I prefer the Scania for its looks (Dark grey metallic is awesome) and engine power. But if you really hate to crash in the rain or want to maintain high speeds in corners i would recommend the high powered DAF, although it looks like a cheap MAN, Good luck and i hope i helped with my input

No one ever talks about the poor 'ole Mercedes Actros =P The longest 6 x 4 truck in the game, and the only 6 x 2 / 6 x 4 with sideskirt options (including pipes, lights, etc.).

But really, the best truck in the game is the one you enjoy driving the most. ETS2 is about having fun driving trucks, so try them all in the quick missions and find out what you like. And have fun doing it =)

i think that: renault sell the worst trucks, iveco sell the cheapest trucks and scania sell the best trucks. my truck is the scania streamline topline, it runs well, good speed and 730hp engine which tops it all off. it was a lot of money though (just if you were wondering my last 7 days profit was 1,118,008).
