Acropolis

I was wondering why Athens does not have the Acropolis Landmark in the scenery!

Without owning the DLC yet but with knowing many similar instances: Eiffel Tower, about all of "famous" Venice, etc. Probably because a 40 ton articlated truck is not able to even get closely to it. This game simulates trucks, so it also will focus on areas they usually go.

that makes sense sorta. but for instance the castle in Salzburg is there and the Berlin landmarks are too, it's kinda hit and miss, but the new Greece DLC is by far one of the best detailed DLC's that have been developed. narrow roads and much more difficult parking is nice to see.

Greek culture ministry charge fees for use of Acropolis images and IP online and in publications, so possibly Greece wanted too much money for the use to be viable for SCS.

For example, video footage is charged at between 10 euros and 100 euros per second on screen depending on total production cost. I have no idea how a reconstructed model in a video game would be costed.

You can see it in the distance from a high spot on the flyover north of Athens. It's also viewable through the dev console - it's directly south of the letter S in Athens.
