Correct Path: Double-check that your music files are indeed located in: C:\Users\BLABLA\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\music
MP3 Format: Ensure your music files are in the MP3 format. ETS2 primarily supports MP3.
File Names: While removing album and artist names might seem helpful, it's not necessary. The game should recognize and play MP3 files regardless.
2. Restart the Game:
After placing or modifying music files, always restart ETS2 to ensure the game recognizes the changes.
3. Check Game Integrity:
Steam: Right-click on ETS2 in your Steam library, select "Properties," then "Local Files," and click "Verify Integrity of Game Files." This checks for any corrupted or missing game files that might interfere with music playback.
4. Audio Device Settings:
Sound Settings: Go to Windows Sound Settings and ensure your audio device (speakers, headphones) is set as the default device and is functioning correctly.
Volume Levels: Check that the in-game volume and your system volume are not muted or set too low.
5. Test with a Single File:
To isolate the issue, try placing a single MP3 file in the music folder. If that file plays, the problem might be with other files in your collection.
6. Temporary Workaround:
As a temporary test, try moving your music files to a different location within the music folder (e.g., create a subfolder like "MyMusic").
7. Community Forums:
If the issue persists, search online forums and communities dedicated to ETS2. Other players may have encountered similar problems and found solutions.
If the problem continues:
I have already verified the game files and tried everything you mentioned.
But Everything Is The Same. I Wasn't Experiencing The Same Problem 2 Days Ago.
I experienced this strangely after the Iveco S-Way Update came.
Is there a music limit or something? For example, a maximum of 300 songs?
There are only 357 songs in my music file.
I try with 30 musics and works i think there is a limit i'm gonna solve myself thank you!
Don't copy music files to that location, place a Windows symbolic link in that folder which point to your music folder you already have on your PC.
My music folder is on a dedicated 3 Tb media drive and has 106 Gb of files, with 20,558 tracks in 1,499 sub-folders. I have to do this as there is not enough room on my C:\ system drive to store them all.
I have no problems playing any of them and the names and titles appear in the ETS2 player. There is no restriction on how many tracks you can have, but not all audio formats are supported, mine are mainly MP3 and FLAC.
Google "create Windows symbolic link" for full instructions from Microsoft.
The problem is not at the limit. If you have an MP3 containing special words and symbols, the game ignores them all.
For example, Arabic words are written from the right. Thank you for your attention.
