Can't start the game
when I patch 1.49, I tried to install some mod. Then it shut down before I can start the drive.
Of course I tried to restart the game, but the Game's application always shut down after couple seconds.
Ald try reinstall, close Anti-virus, restart computer, delete setting file on document, all useless.
Can someone help me?

As the issue happens since you installed a mod the obvious answer is that it is a mod issue.

Verify your game files. You can do this by doing a right-click on the game in your Steam Library and going to "Properties". There you go to "Local files" and there should be the option to verify your files. This will fix any missing or corrupt game files.

Mods = potential problems
Lots of mods = LOTS of potential problems
It is right on the launch screen every time you start the game, when you run mods.
"THIS GAME CONTAINS UNAUTHORISED MODIFICATIONS. IF YOU EXPERIENCE CRASHING TRY REMOVING YOUR MODS PACKS."
Mods are unsupported by SCS, they are entirely your responsibility.

Start a new, unmodded, vanilla profile (you can have as many as you want without affecting your normal profile) and test the game

If it does not crash, it's most likely your mods causing the problem.

If it still crashes:
Go to "C:\Users\*your username*\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2" after a crash.
Open "game.log.txt" after the crash, (NOT game.crash.txt) in Notepad or other text editor.
Copy it all and then post it to pastebin.com (split in two or more parts if too big) as a guest.
Post the link to that page on here.
If pastebin is not available in your country you can use rentry.co and post that page link here.
On a Mac the ETS2 folder is in your Library and there in the Application Support. On Linux the ETS2 folder is in the .local and there in the share.

The game is failing to initialize your GPU:

Not sure if you are missing drivers for the integrated GPU you have or if they simply need to be updated.

Also, you've got some process(es) eating about 1/2 of your available memory before the game even starts:

Is your computer using OneDrive for the default Windows "documents" folder, even if you did not ask it to?
Windows will try to use OneDrive as the default documents location and ATS/ETS2 will not run correctly if it does so.
Never allow Windows to use OneDrive for the default documents folder location.
Stop using OneDrive:
Microsoft official instructions to remove OneDrive:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/turn-off-disable-or-uninstall-onedrive-f32a17ce-3336-40fe-9c38-6efb09f944b0
The "home" directory for the game should be the documents folder on your C: drive.

OneDrive is Microsoft Cloud-based storage and any delay from a slow Internet connection or a drop-out will corrupt the data transfer and stop the game synchronising correctly.

"00:00:03.111 : [dxgi] 0 - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (31.0.15.4617) [12129 MB]"[/iThat driver is out of date, the latest WHQL Windows-approved driver is 552.44 dated May 09 2024. Download ONLY from Nvidia and do a clean install if necessary.

USING MODS?
Mods = potential problems
Mod authors do not always maintain mods and keep them up to date, any new game update has the potential to break every mod. Workshop mods and third-party mods have NO guarantee of working, either on their own or with other mods.
Mods can affect the game in unintended ways causing problems not related to the mod itself.

Start a new, unmodded, vanilla profile (you can have as many as you want without affecting your normal profile) and test the game

If it does not crash, it's most likely your mods causing the problem. You need to test and check every mod individually to see which one is at at fault.

Mouse not moving is usually because it is set as a secondary controller, start the game without any wheel or controller connected and check, if it is OK go into the options and uncheck the use mouse as controller, then restart with wheel or controller connected.

That does not look like a full game.log.txt file, there is no crash or quit recorded, so it might not be the full story.

Change the following lines in the config (or config.cfg) file:
uset cf_asus_aura "1" uset cf_razer_chroma "1"
Change the "1" to "0" and save it.

You can find the config (or config.cfg) file in your documents in the ETS2 folder.

Also make sure your windows swap file is set to system managed.

I have some problems when launching the game too. When I tried to launch the game in STEAM, it will shows that I'm in game but nothing launched. After a few second, the launch button turns back into "Start". It happened after I installed ver.1.50. No mods were installed.
And here's the game log:

If you use the TAA plugin, delete it.
Also the game is trying to use your integated GPU instead of your dedicated GPU.

So how to fix this problem?
Rivaldman May 22, 2024 @ 1:37am
I would look into the TAA plugin first, go to

(Your game harddrive)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x64

delete any files like

dxgi.dll
nvngx_dlss.dll
dinput8.dll

No plugin installed. I have checked the files. What should I do next?

I had these issues and I solved it by disabling Nvidia Overlay in the Nvidia app.
