Default setting for rain probability is too low?
I had the default setting (looks to be about 5% probability) and drove like 40 hours in clear skies. Not a single drop of rain. I had to increase the probability to about half so that I could see some rain. Is this normal for everyone? Did everyone increase their rain probability? Maybe I just got lucky with the sunny days :)

I think originally the default was too high for me, got rain all the time. And then I turned it down and it was more acceptable, but lately theres litterally no rain at all, which isnt what I want. Possibly something changed in the newer versions?

Maybe I'm going crazy, but my rain probability slider is possessed by demons or something. At default, it will rain once in a blue moon, but as soon as I move the damn thing a milimeter to the right it will start raining like there's no tomorrow.

Maybe the game just thinks; "Ok so you want a bit more rain? Have a monsoon!" xD

Same here. I think the slider was set too low by default, around 5 or 10% at the most. I'm satisfied with the amount and frequency of rain that falls with the setting at ~50%.

I wonder how much weather mods might influence the probability of various weather types?
I've got my slider at ~25% or so and I'm fairly happy with the outcome since it appears prototypical for Western Europe.

I'd also be interested in knowing that, but I guess there's no way to tell, huh? Even with my slider set at ~50% the kind weather gods give me more sunny days than rainy days. That's not how it should be in Northern Europe at this time of the year. :D

50% chance for a more or less great day. :D
Lovely philosophy though.

True that. Maybe we should blame global warming for such weather anomalies. ;)

I know what you mean. It pretty much never rained for me and I moved the bar just a LITTLE to the right and now I can't drive a long-haul without at LEAST two rain periods. I'm okay with that though, it was better than no rain.

Same to most, below = no rain, above = raining like there is no tommorow!. default = annoying

I have a vague recollection of someone adjusting the setting to its extremes, and thus somehow "calibrating" the setting. That gamer since had a "real" adjustment option.

I have a mod that makes the spray from vehicles a lot bigger/more realistic in rain, which is pretty cool. But yes I'm definitely going to have to turn it up a bit so it happens more often, because its once in a blue moon at the moment.

Pretty sure it's this. I started a new profile for the latest patch; didn't touch the rain slider and I'm not running any mods. Now on level 17 and it's rained only once. Hadn't really noticed till a couple of days ago. Will have to try bumping it up much higher.

I use the default setting and I'm happy with it, although I swear it only rains at night for me >:(
