How to install Going East DLC

I have purchased the Going East DLC and all works fine on the non Steam version of ETS2. How can I update the Steam version of ETS2 with this update.

i believe once u buy the dlc, it auto installs, best bet to restart steam, then re launch the game it should be installed

right click on euro truck on your steam Library page, go to properties at the bottom and right click again, then In the pop up, go to local files, then in local files verifie the content, after you have instaled going east, this forces steam to look at your local game content then it will automaticaly aquire the new going east files. :)

When I try to install the going east DLC I get the message that the installer is incompatible with the steam version of ETS2 and I must use the steam version of the DLC. As I have already paid for and received the activation number for the non steam DLC, How do I get the steam version of the DLC without having to pay again?

So maybe you;re DLC is not steam? And the game is bought on steam? I think you must buy both of them from steam.

I originally bought ETS2 from SCS and when I got the steam version it asked me for my original activation number from the non-steam version and all worked fine. Can I get a copy of the steam version of the DLC without having to purchase it as I have already paid for the non steam version and the use the activation code I have to make it work

ok you have the original version from SCS, RIGHT? You activated the original version on Steam?
and your going east version is on Cd. or a downloaded file? If it's on cd then you install it to your original version, not the version in steam apps. Then do as I said in the first post I made.

Try using your Going East Key to activate on Steam same as you can do if you have the retail version of ETS2

I just did this today, after converting back to the Steam version so I can play multiplayer:
Open Steam. On the bottom left it says "+AddGame" Click this, and then click "Activate A Product on Steam". Then paste your serial key. Steam will automatically add the DLC. Done! :)

I have just bought Going East DLC on Steam. After that Steam application downloaded only 33 Mbs and now it says that Going East DLC is installed. Is it OK?!
