suggestions for map mods without any required dlc

i have the indonesia map but the map itself is not compatible with the game version, i have the assets and models activated but the map itself isnt compatible

The indonesia map (JRR) is not compatible with the southeast asia map.

i use the one that i found on the workshop, but im gonna try this

i followed the specific order of the map mod but still no luck, game still crashes

Looks like you can only try JRR indonesia.

Both are stand alone map - not compatible with Europe module

so that means both of them are separate map modules?

Yes, it means you have to open a new profile and choose that map module instead of the europe one. That will be the only map you will be playing in.

i actually have the hungary map but it doesnt show like the map itself on the mod manager, is it not extracted or am i just doing it wrong lmao

First of all, are you having 2 files for download (one is 1.96 gb, the other is around 500 mb)
Then you extract the 001 file and get 3 files unextracted

1) base
2) def
3) model

Put all these into mod folder. Launch the game, select open new profile.

In the page where you enter name, company info ... go to top left corner to click mod manager. Activate those 3 files, they have shown which one should go first.

After activating the mods, you can select the hungary module instead of the europe module.

P.S. this map is so big, and it's in 1:3 scale, crazy!
