Use the "Fly Cam".
Press "0" (zero) to activate the cam, use numpad keys 8, 4, 5, 6 to move the cam. You can exit the cam without changing anything by pressing any of the other camera keys such as "1" to return to your truck.
Position the cam near the ground in a place safe to put your truck and trailer, don't put your truck on top of another vehicle or in a non-driveable place (duh!).
Press F9, your truck and trailer will drop to the ground in an upright position. Drive away, you're done. You will retain any damage done in the crash.
To enable the "Fly Cam" you may have to set two variables. Exit the game, find the config.cfg file in your ETS2 user folder:
C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2
also called:
My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2
Find these two variables:
uset g_developer "0"
uset g_console "0"
Change them to "1" (one) if necessary:
uset g_developer "1"
uset g_console "1"
You can adjust the speed of the "Fly Cam" with this variable:
uset g_flyspeed "100.0"
Probably should not be set any higher than 100.
Save the config.cfg file, close the file, run the game.
This got me out of a jamb. Thanks sooooo much zbobg.
Thank you, this saved my ass with duel trailers, was at the port and the second trailer clipped through the gate
F9 works just fine in 1.39, but you need to have the dev console enabled and press 0 before F9.
If you're on a WoT contract, or playing on MP, then the F9 teleport is disabled.
