This or Euro Truck Simulator 1?

Noticing this game being reduced to 5 euro during the autumn sale, I got interested in buying it, however I then realised that Euro Truck Simulator 1 was only 2 euro... Is there any major difference in the games to make me want to pay an extra 3 euro for it or are they very similar games? Thanks :)

I have not played ETS1, only ETS2 but I've seen videos of ETS1 and I must say that the graphics are much better in the ETS 2 in my opinion, so if you go for the best graphics, use the extra 3 € and buy ETS2. but otherwise I do not know the difference between the two games.

THIS! unless you have a very old computer that would run ets2 poorly if at all, then ETS1 should be good enough

Just about all comments I've seen from people that know both games pretty unanimously consider ETS2 the better by far. It's also still supported by the developers.

They are very similar about the goal of the game but they are opposite visually speaking. Even the physics in ETS2 are highly improved; ETS1 looks like Hot Wheels. Two main differences though : in ETS2, you won't see your drivers on the road and you cannot tell them to take this delivery or that delivery.

scania and renault aren't in eurotruck 1 i haven't played eurotruck 1 so... i don't know the major changes but that's something i do know

One HUGE difference is the fact that you can adjust the steering in ET2. I have both games and I play 2 over 1 all the time. They are also bringing out American Truck Simulator. I read maybe January. If you are going to buy the game, money is well spent on Euro Truck 2. Don't forget Euro Truck: Going East! It makes the game even better!

es2 is the way to go, much better graphics and physics, I have both, but don't use et1

I'm just saying what i read:

"Version 2 includes two new truck companies, Scania and Renault, with MAN returning from the original game. DAF, Iveco, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo trucks were not officially licensed and had their names changed to DAV, Ivedo, Majestic and Valiant respectively. Later updates included the official branding for the DAF XF, Volvo FH16 and Iveco Stralis."

basically what i was talking about are the licenses since ur scania is swift and renault is runner...

I bought ets1 before i bought the second. The second is much better, much more in it. The map has all the small and large cities and towns while the first only has a few of the largest cities per country. The first gets boring because you're just driving the same roads to the same cities everytime. You also have to buy access to other countries, so you're stuck with one country for a while, meaning you can only drive between the few cities in that country. Just buy the second if you haven't already.
