2 questions: quick nap and custom cabins
1) Is there a way to rest for a shorter amount of time. Can I take an hour or two nap instead of the full 8 hour sleep?

2) What do the more expensive cabin models like Globetrotter do for you? Is there any effect in game or is it purely a cosmetic preference?

Thanks and happy trucking!

"Luxury" cabs usually are equipped with a GPS. Standard cabs aren't.

Know of any mod to sleep a custom amount of time?

Never heard of one, though it has been requested a few times. It appears to be hardcoded into the game. Plan ahead and rest, rather an hour earlier than later, and remember that compared to E.U. rules, the game acutally in a sense gift you two hours.
Happy trucking.

Too bad.. although i don't get it, as i recall 18WoS had a waiting and sleeping system where you could actually select how many hours it would be..

Anyway, thanks for answering :) Happy trucking!

^ Perhaps that game was less stringently based on real life? Or perhaps American rest regulations are less strict than EU ones?

The U.S. regulations are less strict. There are American players that have requested some modding of this feature in the game, since at 11 hours the game cuts them of at the limit they're used to, with no reserve. As I wrote, the game in a sense gifts us (E.U. players) two hours compared to most scenarios. (I think once a week or so, you're allowed to spend ten hours on the road).
Happy trucking, and rest well.
