Photo Icons on Map Issue

I love the new little photo icons for you to get into photo mode and take a photo of well known landmarks. Even if you have been through areas many times, it's great to see these fun scavenger hunt things to do.

With that, my only issue is some of them require you to take a photo of the landmark on a busy highway. I just had to stop under the Södertälje bridge in Sweden (or some bridge near there) quickly take a crappy photo under it, which just showed the black underneath part of the bridge), got the award and barely avoided getting smashed by all the other traffic.

Maybe ETS needs to at least put some pullover spots for some of these locations. Off to the repair shop for my truck now...

All I've ever done is hit ESC when I am in a good spot, then use Photo Mode while the game is paused.

You do not need to stop, drive by photography is accepted and done as described by Ryu.

I actually did that, but returning to drive mode is when I got hit, I should have pulled over, but didn't see it until the last second and wasn't sure where to take the photo from, so I took it right under the bridge as I didn't want to try and back up the rig. This was the first time I've seen one on an active busy highway like this. I also got credit for what I think is the crappiest photo I've ever taken as well.

In ATS and ETS2 the video ones are at least are in accessible areas or pullouts along the roads...

What I'm saying, though, is you don't need to stop the truck. While you're driving along, wait until your truck is somewhere with an unobstructed view of the area where the icon is located, then hit ESC and the game pauses. Go into Photo Mode, move the camera around and snap the pic. Then, when you unpause, you're right where you were, in motion, and so is the rest of the traffic around you; just as if you'd paused to get up from the computer to do something IRL and then came back to continue playing.

??? theres a dedicated photo-mode button (left of backspace for me)
hit that while driving makes the game pause and easy to take the photo.. hit it again and you can drive on without any risk

Or that. My keyboard is off to the side of my wheel, so reaching out to the corner for ESC takes a bit less precision than looking directly at the keyboard to hit a specific key. ;)

the new options - modifiers and binding tap OR hold button - did help me alot in putting more functions on the wheelbuttons (tap triangle for parking break - hold for trailer attach/detach etc)

It's just more to the point that I wish the photo icons were like the video ones and just had a pullover spot instead...
