So, you say you have black screen only for ETS2? You do play other VR games, right?

Just in case you might try to reinstall SteamVR and Vive's drivers completely. There is a button somewhere in the SteamVR's advanced settings that manages it all. It tells you how you need to unplug/replug Vive for it.
Thats right. Half Life Alyx works like a charm. Beat Saber also.

I removed and newly installed SteamVR already. But i used the normal deinstall function for that.
I hope the drivers for VR are Part of this. What i did not do is unplug my Vive Equipment.
No, not reinstalling SteamVR. Reinstalling drivers. There is a dedicated button for it in advanced settings.

I know, it's basically making random actions, but that's the way of fixing things in Windows: by random guesses, trial and error.

The new version (both here in ETS 2 and in ATS as well) is imho a huge improvement for VR. Still weird the devs didn't mention any performance improvements in the patch notes, but the improvements are huge for me. In the previous versions, even with DX11, i had framedrops and stutters with ASW enabled (Oculus Rift S). Now i get stable 80 fps almost 99% of the time with the exact same settings as before (super sampling on 1.7, ASW completely disabled). Some tiny framedrops still happen in big cities, but that's it.

Big thanks for the new patch, made both games a lot more enjoyable for me.
How did you disable ASW comletely? I've tried via debugger but it make a lot of stutters and reenables by itself every oculus restart
Use OTT.

What is this? Oculus TrayTool download v0.86.4.0? This 3rd party software works fine? Never heard about it before

You can just use the Oculus Debug Tool that comes with the Oculus software. You can find it here: "X:\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics\OculusDebugTool.exe" or where ever your Oculus folder is located. Just set "Asynchronous Spacewarp" to "disabled". But you have to do it every time you restart your system.

Did somebody make a good sampling in ETS 2? I've tried 1.75 stereo buffer in cfg file but it looks as bad as 1 I think. Any way to rip off that "flickering edge ladders"?

Enable SMAA. That's all we have for now.

I haven't seen SMAA in action in ETS2. SMAA is a quite good post-process AA unlike FXAA and such.
Try for yourself how much it fix sharp edges and ladders over bluring stuff.

ok, thx. Do you use stereo buffer scale via cfg file?

I do. Thous it might be pretty much the same as SteamVR's.
You might try higher value if your GPU allows it.

I've tried to find SS in SteamVR settings but with no luck, found only on/off menu with no values/numbers

Start ATS, then alt-tab on your monitor to SteamVR. Game would appear in Application tab as amtrucks.exe Change setting there and alt-tab back to the game. That's it! SteamVR will remember your settings when you run game next time.

I finally got it working again! I had to disable fullscreen mode in Graphics. As simple as that! I never touched the setting until now because it was on by default. I looked through the ETS2 VR guide and could not find a hint there. Maybe it should be added?
