Personally I don't think SCS will do harder maps (in term of more narrow roads). The player base is very broad with many different preferences. SCS have to balance all that in the same "world".
click on the settings that are "bendy roads" might not be narrow but you never get complacent as you are not stuck just driving motorways and fastest straightest route...it does have side effects that you have to have a mod to give you extra journey times or you will be well late every time..its a game changer for me as a bit of boredom had set in...
Just one of the reasons I like ETS2 more than ATS...the challenge of the roads is much better...I prefer to be engaged while driving...not just droning along on the Interstate with the cruise control on.
The main reason I haven't bought ATS....
Oh cool thanks did not know about that. If some youtuber watch this: Please make a map overview with really fun roads. The only ones out there never shows where it is easily.
Be aware that this GPS setting ("Small roads") does not add more narrow roads to the map, only routes you via the smaller roads that already exists on the map (by avoiding the highways). You can achieve the exact same effect by simply setting waypoints manually on the map. Look for the thinner, twistier roads on the map, click on a road and a waypoint will appear.
Also, the game does not give you more time to deliver because you tell the GPS to take you a longer route. but apparently there are mods out there to give you more time.
Definitely one of the reason ATS players are not calm to the forced WoT speed limits when compared to ETS2 players.
EDIT: as usual... some fancy grammar stuff
Your point being?
you can do it yourself by spending time with wayponits and map checking but clicking on the "small roads" does all the work for you plus i did say if you did not use the "extra time" mod you would be well late, plus as your jobs take longer all your drivers also seem to take longer to complete jobs so if your one of these who care about making lots of fast money (and there are some reading some of the posts) then it will not be for you either, but if you just want to make lots of fast money you will want the default routes it gives anyway.. all the roman roads it can find...
