Can't Reverse in ETS & ATS

Please help? I have an Xbox 360 controller for Windows and I have read so many discussions on the Steam input, the Steam big Picture config and changing settings.
- Nothing works -

I just cannot reverse in game.
My triggers work fine as I can move forward and break but cannot reverse with the break trigger. I have reset and chosen "Simple Automatic" -SEVERAL- times but it just refuses to reverse. All the trucks I have tried all beeps as if i'm going to reverse but just doesn't move more than a few pixels if at all.

Everything worked well in previous updates with no issues or problems. I am on the verge of tearing my hair out but I love these games too much to do that as it's helped me through difficult times in the last few years. I would REALLY like to get back on the road but this issue is getting too much for me.

Please help?

Do you have the automatic parking brake active? If you do, deactivate it.
