Can't Launch Software
Ever since the new valentines event started and with me having Nord VPN, the game does not want to launch anymore, I tried pausing Nord VPN and it said if I start now, I may lose all my progress, so I wait a minute and it won't launch again. Tried split tunneling Nord VPN, start Steam on administrator and I can't figure out why... Any suggestions?

Have you tried turning your VPN off completely?

Maybe this helps?

Why Is NordVPN Not Working With Steam? (Troubleshooting)

Are you encountering issues with NordVPN while using Steam? Here are three troubleshooting methods that might just crack the code:

Change Servers: Sometimes, the server you’re connected to might be the culprit. Simply connect to a different one and see if that resolves the hiccup.
Change the VPN Protocol: I recommend the NordLynx protocol while gaming if you aren’t using it already. Alternatively, try OpenVPN (UDP) on restrictive networks that may be blocking Steam access.
Do a Region Compatibility Check: Check whether the game you’re trying to access is allowed in the region you connect to via NordVPN. If not, find a NordVPN server in a region (I recommend the USA) where the game/DLC you want is available.

-> Try disabling the CyberSec feature, it might be causing issues. You can find it in the application settings. Do you?

I have used Nord VPN for quite some time and have never had it interfere with either Steam or ETS2. The advice above from #Devil sounds like a good plan, though I can't see why you would lose progress if you pause Nord, you would still be accessing your Steam Cloud saves if you use that for saves.
