The game only officially support TrackIR and Tobii tracking device. If you are using 3rd party or DIY build, you need software that able to emulate those two devices, such as OpenTrack.
https://github.com/opentrack/opentrack/releases
Run OpenTrack, configure your tracking device until it works within OpenTrack and behaves as you expected. Keep OpenTrack open (minimize if necessary) before running the game. All tracking adjustment should be done within OpenTrack interface and do not attempt to access it through TrackIR setups within the game.
If your tracking device does not works in the game, make sure the following cvar is activated in config.cfg file inside "Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\" folder.
i had a Tobii5 eye tracker 2 months ago and can say 100% honestly not only was it a breeze to connect and set up and i'm a total pc numpty that knows nothing but not once had a fault and really was a game changer and i only got rid as sold it to buy 2 extra monitors as triple screen is incredible and amazes me every time i play..
The "HW Not Detected" that shows in this game is only for Tobii. Not other devices are supported in that particular menu. The game checks for Tobii, TrackIR, and TrackIR emulated devices, like Trackhat and 3d-printed solutions.
What software are you using for headtracking? We need more info to go on other than "I think it's the game that's broken."
As you are using third party software the game doesn't support, how is that a game issue?
not an ets problem.
it recognised my tobii5 eye tracker so tell me how is it an ets2 problem ?
if you have not the tobii hardware you wont be able to use the software for it.
And as i have one running (and had a track ir in the past) both where plug & play and got detected and activated by the game itself on first use.
Have you checked one of the dozen of tutorials how to get a Camera headtracking "device" working?
There for sure is one for this game too i would assume.
But again you have given absolutely no info for us to help you with. What steps did you take to enable the tracking software? Which software are you specifically wanting to try?
