How to increase the income earned from hired drivers?
I currently have two drivers, both around level 2 and they earn between £500-£2500 for each job they complete, I'm wondering how I can go about increasing the profit they get in order to earn money faster? Thanks.

The drivers level up after a few jobs they do, which means that the income that they provide also increase.

Okay thanks, so upgrading their trucks wouldn't have any effect?

No, upgrading your hired drivers truck doesn't affect anything. So for the start take the cheapest truck, strip it completely to save money.

They're level increasing works the same as yours. After jobs you get XP and this way you will level up every now and then. So do your drivers, the higher level they become, the more they going to earn for you.

Also check your hired drivers skills regularly and give priority in wich skill your drivers are expert and dont set your drivers skills all the time on Balanced. :steerme:

I force my drivers to to improve their Long Distance skill first - this skill seems to make the largest difference to their earnings. I also found it helpful to let them have one or two High Value Cargo and Limited Time Delivery skill points as it increases the chance of them finding a job for the return journey.

Long distance then ADR (both to level 5) then set to balanced. Dosh really starts rolling in. Dont forget to keep an eye on thier upskilling as points not assigned are lost. I only go to level 5 on manual training as you lose unassigned points so it gives you a chance of not losing them.

Don't expand too quickly, you have to give your drivers time to level (the same way you do to earn skill points). Otherwise they won't cover your running costs.

However a single 400000 loan should not be that hard to cover....it is like 6000 per day or so iirc to pay it. Yourself alone should be able to earn around 15k per day even fairly early.

Unless you are wreckless and blow your budget on repairs and loose revenue.

You should be able to cover the cost of the loan comfortably by yourself. Concentrate on the highest paying jobs whilst giving your hired hands time to develop their skills.

Don't think this is true anymore - better trucks will have some effect on their profit, though not enough to make it worth buying hired drivers top-of-range rigs until you are really loaded (I have more money in game now than I can spend and all my drivers have nice trucks!). THere was a thread about this a few weeks ago if you can find it.
