What do you think off the new DAF XF truck??
Well,i know from RL experience that the new DAF XF EURO 6 drive's like a charm.
So i say to myself, why try this puppy in to the ETS 2 game and specialy in the Eastern Express Map.
I NEVER,butt i NEVER thought that this truck was driving veeeeerry nice in-game to!!!!
I liked it so mutch, that i give my Scania R500 V8 to my second driver!!!
The handling is perfect adjusteble, the strongest engine is the 510pk/hp and its powerfull enough for ALL loads and have's enough torque.
So DAF-truck's? They made a verry good truck for real-life trucking, specialy the truck is having a verry good cabine noise. I think the brand will have a hit with this truck.

And now to SCS.
A verry big thumb up to make this truck ( scary ) close to the RL truck!!!
What's your feedback off the rig??

Similar. Being waiting for it since announce, leaving achievements to, well, achieve with it, as a dessert.

I bought 3 of them and I am very satisfied! It is less powerful than my Volvos and Scanias, but the sound is sure more realistic and it makes it more interesting to me.

Just up the horsepower and torque in the DAF engine file ;)

Wel,i agree. But DAF keep it simple with his engine's and i mean they go from a 410pk/hp to a 510pk/hp. Like Volvo they have a huge amount off engine's from a 360pk/hp to the beast off all the 750pk/hp. I like drive the new DAF in RL and once again, what SCS did with the truck on-game? Well, that EARN'S respect to the DEV'S.

It's my favorite now. I saw it so much in RL and I just like the design of this truck. DAF did a really good job and SCS too by creating is virutally.

Possitive feedback i hear here ;-). I like the dashboard also, its verry acurate and display's the most info that a trucker need's. Even if you lift the wheel's,you see a warning light so you dont forget for lower them if its to heavy!!

the new Daf is driving very well. but i think its power is a bit too low. i still prefer my Scania,

I like the new DAF. Its design and engine sound.
But I prefer the other IRL interior. I would like SCS to add it.

I actually like wood grain, my favorite. Central console is awesome, it's not used in game, but there's table out there, IMHO best of all "big seven". And you don't have to pay for it.

Let me be the first one to have an opposing opinion of the DAF interior. I hate the fake wood and fugly dash with that truck outline. The interior just looks cheap.

MAN? Cheap plastic everywhere? Sure, that's posh! Table isn't optimal, and beds aren't great either. Good like climbing on second deck (yeah, I'm aware of folding step). Controls are simple, can't take away that.
Volvos? Well, can't say for new ones - they are new (yet I saw speaker grill falling off, and some handle was rattling), but old had a lot of problems with their interior (and not just interior), as that material was too easy to scratch and leave marks on. Volvo built-in table is just one big [bleep] you have to pay for. Plus old Volvos lacked space MAN and DAF had in ample supply.
So they all have problems and it's good we have an option to drive what we like, without dealing with all those issues like broken visor, dirty mirrors, or torn fan belt, that failed while you're in the middle of nowhere, and there is -30C outside.

Well, you wright on that point Sirrus. That's why i LOVE the Scania 142/143M - 112H/113H serie's. These where build for ever and it was robust like hell! The problem with the today's truck is- it all has to be lightweight and that's why the manufacturers use's more " plastic " ( actualy fiberglass ). Outside and inside and that's a shame!!!!
Sirrus Dec 2, 2014 @ 1:15pm
Don't even start that. Trucks were among few things that were tough, but recently even they aren't "build to last" anymore. Guess consumerism infection diseased even truck manufactures. Though some Yankees keep poking us about 1 million of kilometers being only "break-in" period for their trucks.
As for plastic, well, some outer elements are plastic, that's true, but since they aren't strength or load-bearing elements, I won't blame manufacturers. As long as those elements are easy to repair or replace, and they aren't needlessly expensive, brittle, or big. I guess you already know manufacturer I'd like to poke here.:)
Reducing truck's own weight has point, but mostly for liquid or bulk cargo transporters - overall size of tent or container trailer is limited by reguilations and making truck 200 kilos lighter won't allow you to load few palletes more. But it will allow you to haul a bit more heavier cargo. Or have more fuel, if you know pretty good fuel supplier.
