The same cannot be said of all mods.
There will be folks who say the game is only good when using mods..
There are some who'll say that mods are nothing but trouble.
I'm not saying "don't do it" but a lot of discussions I see here to do with map mods are all to do with game version mismatches and the mod creator's lag in updating their map data to run smoothly with the new game patch or whatever.
Most of the time this seems to be okay for the mod user? But saved games with previous verions of map mods may not be compatible with either new game patches, or even with new mod versions.
Does that make sense to you?
On the other hand, TSM 5.3 and RusMap 1.4 seem to be the most popular map mods. Together they're almost 5gb so depending on your RAM situation, their inclusion may increase your game load times dramatically. Both of the above-mentioned work with ETS2 version 1.14.2 but there has been a patch recently to 1.14.2.2 and I don't know how much impact that will have on mods.
Good luck :D
The reason I asked my question was because I wasn't sure what extra the DLC added to the game other than more roads and scenery. On reflection, I realise that's a stupid question,as its the heart of the game!
I think there's 7(?) new cargo trailers in the HP DLC?
Ranging from a yacht (6ton) to gas pipes and air conditioners and big machinery. I suspect the physics relating to the trailer's centre of gravity (because some trailers are "floats", some are "pantecs" and others are containers) would apply as with all other trailers. But I think also, that any damage sustained to High Power Cargo jobs cost a lot more in penalties.
Word on the street is that HP Cargo jobs are as rare as rocking-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Yes, and I have senn none weighing more then the standard 25 tons.
Scandinavia DLC coming soon. I suspect that's what the update a couple days ago was all about.
I'm on the fence about it, but it seems like some achievements can't be earned without these two DLCs (long distance trips and 30 different types of cargo)?
It's worth it.
