I find they are about the same, if you are refering to the biggest engine for both, and not a mod engine.

Otherwise, it's 750Hp vs 730Hp, basically no differences.

Volvo is faster but only at full pelt which really you don't have much chance to do in this game unless you drive like crazy. But it is a game and not RL - there's nothing to stop you from turning the delimiter off and having some fun. Scania tends to accelerate and pull away better from a standing stop. Both trucks have lots of power if you put their top engines in them.

but you can disable the speed limiter, but they are still about the same.

Scania "DC16 21 730 Euro 5 EEV V8" = 3500Nm torque.
Volvo "D16G750 Euro 5 / EEV" - 3550Nm torque.
The Scania has slightly better top end gearing though.

lvl 46 on second time round. I had to reinstall ETS2 after a Win8.1 installation. I had reached the nirvana of lvl 50.

I'm probably about 50-50 on the Scania\Volvo with a current total of about 150,000km. I've only ever driven the other trucks just to get achievements.

I do slightly prefer the Volvos cabs. I find the the Scania's interiors a bit too workmanlike for my taste, but I switch between the two regularly to liven things up.

Due to higher player level limitations Scania can be considered slower, simply because you'll need far more time to reach it. But in terms of absolute top speed, Volvo is just a tad faster. Only there are very few places where you could spot that difference.

Because this is a GAME. It's all about having fun.

And why talk about truck brand reliability when ETS2 does not factor such things in the game. I'm sure some mods might do though.

Ummmmm, i don't think so, I have gotten the volvo up to just under 170 km/ph both loaded with about 31,000 lbs and empty
