WARNING! No free Viking Legends DLC! with Scandinavia (on some Retail) Steam keys

Just activated Scandinavia addon,expected to get Viking Legends DLC for free as stated on the Steam store page,
"Get Viking Legends Paint Jobs for free in the first week"
"Purchase the expansion in the first week after launch and get Viking Legends for free. "
No mention that it only applies to keys purchased through Steam store directly & some of the retail keys.
So be warned peeps!.

Considering the Steam store is the only place that states you get the DLC with the expansion, it should be pretty obvious that you have to buy it on Steam to get the DLC. Claiming your retail key on Steam is not the same thing as buying it there.

Not saying that SCS couldn't have worded their post a bit more clearly, but never assume that sales on Steam also applies to other stores. You can always complain to SCS support, but it's still a Steam deal.

Someone written here in discussion a day ago, he redeem his Scandinavian Retail key and got Viking legends Paint job free.

Can't say I'm really that bothered,jus' a lil bit miffed,didn't post this as a complaint but as the title says a "WARNING!" to others,as I think the Steam Store page is somewhat misleading.

Steam store is not miss leading anything but Steam store is facing some problem from last 3 days.

Really?, then hopefully it's some kinda activation bug,but to be honest I really can't be bothered to chase them up about it.

No problems here getting it through Steam as stated, though I'll probably never use them regardless. Having a looksy around, GMG doesn't mention anything on it from what I saw, but Amazon.co.uk does.

My retail key activated the dlc too.
And as far as i know the retail keys should give always the viking dlc (at least the ones where i bought it, and those retails on amazon where it says that).

Thanks for the tips vonswe and all, but alas it's still a no show.
Oh well not to worry guys,Like Shrimp says they ain't all that anyways, so really it's no great loss.
I Got the addon for 23% less than the Steam price,that's a bonus in itself,so shouldn't really grumble.
Mustn't be greedy eh. :)
