Currently the mail system is pretty useless, it's only really used up until you get your first truck, and when you're dealing with loans, but you can make money so fast in this game, that phase doesn't last long, so you never recieve any mail.

I think a better use of this system would be for fines and driver reports. When you break the speed limit now, you instantly get fined, which is unrealistic, so instead of even knowing that you broke the speed limit, you could recieve an e-mail with a fine at a later date, which is how it really happens.

And use would be driver reports for things like ferry crossings, which even though it advances the time, by up to 16 hours, it doesn't give you any info on your drivers earnings or progress unlike when you sleep, so you could have e-mails for which ones levelled up.

Anyone else have any uses for the mail system?

i hired a driver and forgot to assign a truck to him for a few days. he sent me an email requesting a truck otherwise he will leave my company

Yes this also happened to me once, but I didn't know why as when I checked, the driver did indeed have a truck.

I agree it is pretty useless. I got one email from the bank to tell me I could have loans at the very beginning of the game!
