it could have been a good game but they made it into a racer instead of a sim, thats where the biggest flaw is, the same with the physics

the fact that russians made it doesn't mean it automaticly is a bad game, most mods for ets 2 are made by russians(all the american trucks) and SCS software is from the czech republic

They did all that work on an good bussines model, jobmarket and upgrades, and then ruined it totaly with idiotic racing and gangsters shooting you to bits... Could be something for the crashers in multi mod ;)

Ok... I must admitt I agree wih you. I've never playing this game (just seen a video on youtube) - and looks very very bad, afull, catastrophic (only good thing is crash-physic).

Russians made Spintires, and I only WISH that ETS2 had physics that good!

R&R as got some good game features which ETS2 should include:

Realistic damage - bumpers hang off, window screen cracks, etc,
Police - You actualy see and get pulled over !!
Hich hickers - realistic for truckers.

Ok now, folks. Look at the RnR's year of release - it's 2009. It's not that bad for 2009, compared to the first ETS (horrible controls, almost unplayable, unlicensed trucks) or 18 Wheels of Steel, which was totally boring.

I really like some stuff in Rig n Roll but yeah, it's pretty bad. The worst is the behavior of the trucks which is the most important thing in such games. And the trailer picking system is crap. It's all automatic.
I like the graphics, the customisation options for the trucks. The competitive aspect with the companies and drivers, the scenario missions, the hitch hikers, police. The map is pretty good but not really realistic with the fact that there is no trafic lights.

If only the gameplay was good, it could be a good game, but it is not so it ruins everything.

Actually, rignroll devs are from the same city as me :D
But I kinda hate that game too, because it was the third game of the series and the second one was way way way better (especially for its time, 2000ish).
But sadly there are games about truckers which are a lot worse than rignroll, so it's definitely not the worst pc game :(

I agree with 3spooky5me. The second RnR part back in 2001 was the best.
