What a nice mods to have.

I'm looking for some nice mods mostly map mods i don't mind a few trailers and trucks but i am not much of a cosmetic person i maybe will only try out 1 skin. Are there any really good mods out there that are really usefull,cool or are a must have.

tsm or promods they are the best mods get eather one they are both huge.

For maps I recommend Promods... for trailers I suggest anything from Jazzycat. The former is patched to work with 1.17, and the trailers will almost always work no matter the game version.

I'd stay away from any lighting/weather/physics mods for the time being, though. The majority of them probably haven't been updated and will cause conflicts and crashes. Truck mods if you're interested are hit and miss, a bit of trial & error would be needed on your part there.

I tried installing the promod from the the website made a account but i can't copy the files to my mod folder it keeps saying.

You need to start extraction from a previous volume to unpack promod-v192.scs
No files to extract

And i used the free mirror so got 4 parts.

When i extract it in the same folder /downloads i get.

You need to have the following volume to continue axtraction and then i can browse
Inster a disk with this volume and press "OK" to try again or press "Cancel"to break extraction.

Redownloaded the mods now i get

Promods, download all parts, including the def file. Dont forget to download and install the fix patch on promods forum. Then unpack part 1 only. The files are packed in multiple rar files.

What do you mean i only need to use part 1? what about part 2,3,4?

When archives are broke down into separate parts, you only need to extract part one and it will auto-extract everything else. If you don't download all parts, you can't extract.

i unpacked part 1 only and downloaded the rest. I have promods-defv191.scs, promods-map-v191.scs, promods-v191.scs, Z_promod-v191_compantibility_117.scs

I did everything right why does it still crash when i try to laod the mods and start the game.
