triple monitor config file
Looking for a config set-up file so can make my triple monitors look awsome. I have been tinkering with the config to get it to look as real as possible but still seems off a bit so any help would be awsome if possible. If possible please post your config file.
I am running triple 27" monitors on a GTX980 if that helps.

While we want to eventually have some setup UI, it has a very low priority because the multi-monitor support is still considered experimental, there are still some features which I am planing to add and it is much simpler to add a few parameters than update UI to support everything in a user-friendly way.

Well today i had extra time and experimented with the configuration and got it to look pretty good. My only issue now is the right side mirror looks like its in my face or i am driving a one seater lol the center and left views are perfect. Any tips on which setting i can tweak to adjust this or is this just an issue of it trying to fit everything into 3 screens.
By The way thankyou to all who have tried to help me here and those i have messaged back and forth.

Just take your time. I'm sad to hear about the low priority thing, but happy that you're planning to add more features before creating an user-friendly UI. What we users have now is much better compared to before, even if it's a little tricky to setup. So I thank you. But please be aware there is really a lot of triple monitor users just waiting for updates on this matter. I hope you realise that. Your game is bigger than you think.

Forgive me for asking this guys, but I am brand new to Euro Truck SIm 2. Where exactly do I find this file (or location) to make these commands and changes. I'm running triples and would like to take some time to get my setup just right. Just need to know exactly where to input this info. Thanks!

Ok yeah I've actually gotten that part figure out. But i have tried to adjust every setting individually in the multimon_config.sii (4) but none of them are adjusting for the 45 degree angles I have off my center screen. So everything on the left and right seems like its way to far out in front of me. Like the outside of my two outside monitors need to be rotated in if that makes any sense at all...
dandim82 Jan 14, 2016 @ 7:57pm
Yeah I have multimon turned on. And Sic, my settings are almost identical to yours I just have FOV set to 55. If I push it any farther gets my outside monitors out of wack. Thanks for the help guys!

Sorry for the somewhat-necro, but I'm hoping someone can help.

I've almost got my triple screen setup perfect - using one 1920 in the middle, and two 1280's on the sides. However, see the below screenshot.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=613099209

See the angle on the trailer, right above the "be" in "Raben"? That angle should be (I would think) right on the bezel, but it is occuring about an inch from the right hand side of my center monitor. There is one on the left as well, you just can't really see it in the screenshot.

Any ideas as to how I can extend that out to the sides a little more? This screenie was taken in "2" mode in the R_Multimon_mode.I have tried messing with the "4" mode, and it's corresponding .sii, but cannot seem to figure out how to tell ETS2 that I am using a wider center screen. I am using SoftTh to create a custom wide resolution (since Nvidia can't get their ♥♥♥♥ together to compete with Eyefinity).

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone getting bad AA and shimmering when running multi view? I use Nvidia Inspector to override the AA and I getting very good AA when running the game in single monitor. But as soon as I enable Nvidia surround and run the game in multi view, very bad aa and shimmering all over the place, it seems the settings in NI no longer applied. Anyone experience this?

i have the same issue.....

back to topic i have played about with the config file on ATS and copied it to ETS2 and this is the best i have come up with by far, i am pleased with it, can see the dashboard on middle screen and mirrors on left and right monitors, just play with your seat position hight, forwards/backwards and head up/down (left/right monitors need to be almost to the sides of middle monitor) im on 3 x 27" @ 5760x1080, i LOVE the view i have now it has taken me so damn long to get to this stage dont think ill even change it again now as i LOVE the way i have got it. please try it and see if it works for whoever needs it, i hope it does :) uploaded a video so you can see how ATS looks for me, its about the same on ETS2 aswell

Running r_multimon_mode 2.
Should I disable bezel correction in Nvidia ctrl panel and use these commands instead?
uset r_multimon_border_fov_right "3"
uset r_multimon_border_fov_left "3"

Heya,

I have the same setup (1280x1024/1920*1080/1280*1024) and the same problem. You are correct in assuming that the game expects 3 identical monitors. If you check the multimon_config.sii you will see that the widths of the 3 monitors (left/center/right) are 0.3333 each.

Anyway, what I could do was to modify the widths and the starting and ending points of the 3 virtual monitors so that those edges are behind the bezels were they should be. I used mode 4 btw and please read the guide, it's very helpful (http://www.eurotrucksimulator2.com/multimon_config.php).

To do this I used:

multimon set left normalized_width 0.28

multimon set center normalized_x 0.28
multimon set center normalized_width 0.42

multimon set right normalized_x 0.72
multimon set right normalized_width 0.28

-values may vary for your setup but go ahead and try :) best way is to do it in the console ~, (there is somewhere a topic how to activate that) because you will see the changes instantly, just park somewhere so you can observe the cabin peacefully and experiment.

But the problem now is that they don't align anymore, meaning that there are visible offsets between the monitors and fixing that is beyond me :) Maybe somebody else can help ?

P.S.: it would be perfect if we get two additional functions:

-one for setting the ratio of each monitor
-one to set the angle between the virtual monitors, right now I think it's fixed or dependent of the FOV or what not, I can't answer this :)

♥♥♥
Here is what I use. 3-27" mons and TiR. I then adjust the seat so I can see the tops of the guages by pressng f4 three times. I also use the tallest visor I can to narrow the window a bit.

uset g_interior_camera_zero_pitch "1" (this one really important as it fixes the mirror angle)
uset r_segment_buffer_size "128"
uset r_multimon_exterior_in_aux "0"
uset r_multimon_interior_in_main "1"
uset r_multimon_rotation_aux "0"
uset r_multimon_rotation_right "0"
uset r_multimon_rotation_left "0"
uset r_multimon_rotation_center "0"
uset r_multimon_vert_offset_right "0"
uset r_multimon_vert_offset_left "0"
uset r_multimon_border_fov_right "0"
uset r_multimon_border_fov_left "0"
uset r_multimon_fov_vertical "0"
uset r_multimon_fov_horizontal "40" (most ppl find this too low without TiR)
uset r_multimon_mode "2"

I believe the angle bewteen monitors defaults to 45 degrees.

I use a 1070 so just for fun here are my in game graphics settings.

- Full Screen 5760 X 1080 in your Driver settings use adaptive Vsync on: in game vsync off.
- Scalling : 200 %
- MLAA : deactivated
- HDR : ON
- DOF : as you prefer
- Sunshaft : ON
- Color correction activated
- Reflexion Details : Med -> avoid putting hood mirrors
- Vegetation details : Medium
- Grass density : high
- Shadow quality : low
- Shadow texture size : high
- Weather Quality : Ultra
- Mirror quality : high
- Mirror resolution : high
- Mirror distance : medium
- Texture quality : high
- everything else activated and maxed

In the driver I turn off AA altogther and run 16x AF clamped. I also have been using FXAA but it doesnt seem to effect looks or FR.
